This is a post about thanks. It's about forever thanks to all of you who supported and patronized Urban Saloon (previously Sugar Creek Deli, Wine & Cheese) in the past 4 1/2 years. It all started with a vision I had. A vision I had to start a business in an incredibly beautiful old building on the square in Auburn, Illinois. That vision was as much about a childhood dream of mine as it was about a strong desire to enhance not just the beauty of the square, but creating a place for the citizens of Auburn to come in, relax and enjoy. It was about offering the best quality of product and service that I could provide to this community. And yes, I'm proud of what we were able to accomplish. But more than that, I'm thankful for all of you and the friendships that were were formed, all the great times, and the memories that we will all share. Urban Saloon was sold this past week to some wonderful, fun, energetic people who will enhance what what started and take it to the next level. Please support them. Those of us who put our hearts and souls on the line to become a small business owner need all of you to make our dreams a reality. We owe our success to you, because of your support. Be patient, be kind and be understanding No small business owner wants to disappoint their customers, but we are real people. We have lives, we have family and sometimes there are unforseen circumstances. Always give a small business owner that second, third, and yes...fourth chance. I will miss all of you emensly and will be forever grateful for your patronage and support. Most of all, I will miss you. I didn't know anyone when I moved to Auburn a few years ago...and now I'm thankful to know many of you. God Bless you all..and again, thank you for the memories.
