Today we celebrate Sonja Douglas, Co-Founder, CEO & First Lady of Backstage Atlanta & The JDE Family 👸🏾💐

Depending on who you ask, you may know her as Mrs. D, Mama D, and a few other names earned through years of loving, leading, praying, and keeping everybody together.

What started with love in the country and a dream has grown into a legacy that’s here to stay.
🅱️📍For 18 years, Backstage Atlanta has stood through every season, and one of the biggest reasons is the faith Sonja has continued to display. When things looked impossible, she prayed. When times got tough, she believed. When others may have counted us out, her faith kept reminding this family that God had already counted us in.
That love stretches far beyond four walls. From Backstage Atlanta and the College Park community, to our family and friends in Huntsville, Alabama, to the Old School & Blues Festival, Mrs. D has spent years loving on people, supporting people, feeding people, hugging people, kissing everybody 😂❤️ and treating friends, family, staff, and community like FAMILY.
Today, we give that love right back 🫂
Happy Birthday to our Co-Founder, our CEO, our mother, our family, our foundation, and one of the reasons this legacy continues to stand 🥂
