Summiting Mount Kilimanjaro together on February 20, 2026, six Phi Delt brothers from Georgia Tech took the Lemosho Route after 18 months of training. The team included Kevin Seefried, IE 92, Joe Daniels, MGT 92, Andy Mermans, ME 92, David Schneider, ME 91, Ashley Martin, MGT 94, and Tres Meek, CE 96. They climbed 19,341 feet, embracing the Swahili term Pole Pole—“slowly, slowly”—over rain, sleet, snow, and sleepless nights. At the summit, they paid tribute to their hero, Stu Evans (BC 95), who passed in 2022 but continues to inspire Phi Delts and Tech grads with his selflessness.
