Hello everyone. Tonight we kick off a new start for Floptacular. We're making a few changes, but mostly we'll be the same we always were in terms of play.
First, we're suspending our VIP program. To anyone who was a VIP in the past, we thank you for your support. However, with our limited games, it's just not a viable option any longer.
Next, we are changing the frequency of our cash tournaments. We will now be holding them seasonally, 4 times a year. The prizes for these tournaments will be increasing however, so qualifying for these tournaments will be even more worthwhile. Which leads me to the next change; we will be setting a qualifying score that you will need to attain to play in these tournaments. The actual score is to be determined, based on what I see as attendance for our regular games for the first few weeks.
But there is still an incentive to score high during the season. The top 4 scorers during the 3 month season will get extra chips in their stacks for the cash tournaments. Again the exact percentage is TBD, but I'm thinking of something like an extra 50% for the high scorer, to 10% or so for the 4th place finisher. As such, there will no longer be cash prizes for the monthly high scorer or seasonal high scorer.
We'll still have bounty points and drink chips and bonus hands and all that good stuff. I may offer dealers a points bonus as well, but I'm not convinced of that yet.
