Red's Beer Garden in Benteen Park brings families, neighbors, and dogs together in one place. So, Red's Beer Garden was born. All are welcome. All are loved.

Red's Beer Garden is a counter-service restaurant in the Benteen Park neighborhood of Atlanta. Coming from Wilmington, NC, the owners (Kristen aka 'Red' and Ed Sumpter) loved local spots showcasing beer in self-serve coolers. After moving to Atlanta, their mission was to find a similar cool beer spot, but it just didn't exist. Red's offers hot dogs, sandwiches, and over 250 types of beer, wine, cider, mead, seltzer, and non-alcoholic options from our self-serve glass door coolers. Beers from around the world, and from breweries down the road - everything from Monday Night Blind Pirate, to a Duchesse de Bourgogne, to a PBR. We are family- and dog-friendly, and offer events and drives for non-profits throughout the year, with a focus on connecting our community and neighborhood. At Red's, we believe in creating memories, cultivating friendships, and coming together with a common purpose: to enjoy good food and drink.

Guess what’s back for the 3rd time at Red’s???

The Simply Weird Film Festival - and now for TWO NIGHTS OF WEIRD!

Our OG regular, Sean, has hosted this impressively unhinged festival six times and the films only get better. Expect 38 shorts that are equal parts quirky, cosmic, and bizarre. We will be romanced by time travel, befriend a nice monster at summer camp, Patton Oswalt will teach us the importance of being cautious of strays, we’ll FINALLYYY learn where brains come from, and hopefully find our missing finger.

Tickets are only $15 for one night, $20 for both nights. You will cringe, you will giggle, and I promise, at some point you’ll have no idea what’s happening and love it. Spend a couple nights supporting indie filmmakers - several of them will be at the festival!

Bethany and Katy’s first date was at Red’s, so Bethany decided the engagement should happen here too. Their first dance was on a whollllllllle lotta mulch.

Kaitlyn’s undergrad ceremony was canceled due the pandemic, so she made up for it when she became an NP. Pretty sure it’s cool now to tell your NP you eat hot dogs instead of apples.

A guy whose actual nickname is “Hot Dog” celebrated his birthday here, and his friend made him a hot dog cake. And yes, it was hot dog flavored.*

Anyway, nothing makes us happier than seeing hot dogs front and center on your biggest days. 🌭❤️🌭

*I’m lying about the cake being hotdog flavored, but wish I wasn’t.

DRAG BINGO & FUNDRAISER

Baby Dee’s calling the numbers and bringing the drag. Expect 3 rounds of bingo with performances mixed in all night. Bring ones!

Your first card is free and each additional card is a $5 donation to The Armorettes, a local non profit supporting the Atlanta community affected by HIV/AIDS.

Every bingo winner takes home a four pack of SEÑORITA and they’ll be passing out samples all night.

Big news, folks!

An anonymous regular has once again donated in Red’s Beer Garden’s name to sponsor Atlanta Habitat for Humanity’s 2026 Pride Build! Starting next month, Habitat will be building two houses during Atlanta’s own Pride Month.

They’ve generously offered us 15 volunteer spots on Saturday, October 24th. I (Red) just signed up! Who’s joining me for this historical build?! The link to sign up is in our bio.

SPEED PUZZLES ARE BACK!

Y’all have been asking and the puzzles are BACKKKKKKK! Bring your own puzzle board or borrow one of ours (aka just a corrugated 24x36 black poster board… works great). Inside or outside seating - hosted by the one and only Round Trip Brewing Company!

How It Works:
🧩Teams will all receive the same mysterious 500-piece puzzle at 7 pm
🧩Top three fastest teams to finish the puzzle win $30, $20, $10 gift cards to Round Trip
🧩No limit on the number of folks on your puzzle team, but only 4 people can be touching the puzzle at once (rotate in/out to grab beer & food!)

BYO Craft Night
Wednesday, September 16th
Starting at 6 pm

Bring your craft and bring your people or come solo - either way you’ll make new friends! No sign-ups. Just drop in any time and stay as long as you like.

What to bring: Whatever you’re working on - knitting, card making, cross stitch, origami, jewelry making, or anything else that keeps your hands moving. This is BYO everything: needles, thread, beads, all of it. We’ll supply the tables and a good time.

AND it’s Corndog Wednesday! Kitchen open 4-9:30 pm. Happy hour 4-6 pm.

((You must leave the picnic tables, chairs, and garden clean and as you found them, or you may be charged for replacement.))

Bring an instrument to join in, or just come out for a night of fun tunes! We’ll be outside as long as the weather holds - if not, the dining room will just get a little twangy instead. Rain or shine, it’s going down.

Hotdog and Beer Mugs?!
Sunday, September 13th at 2 pm

Have a hankering for a beer or hot dog mug? Need a unique gift? Want to do something fun with friends? Our neighbor, Ann Marie from Clay It Forward, is bringing mugs pre stamped with beers and hot dogs for you to paint. She’ll haul them off to fire in her studio, and you’ll pick them back up at Red’s.

To attend, you’ll donate an amount of your choice to Clay It Forward. Just show up, no pre registration required. But - only 15 spots, so get there by 2 pm sharp or you’re just watching!

Clay It Forward is a non profit providing equitable access to ceramic education, so this one’s for a good cause too.

DON’T FORGET: DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

DOG BINGO
Dog themed bingo, hosted by Butters, and word on the street is there is some fun planned for the doggos too. Maybe a singing contest? Maybe some furry paws will get a chance to draw a bingo ball? A $5 donation per card to Ahimsa House to play!

DOG PORTRAITS
Diego The Pet Photographer will be out from 2 to 5 pm getting shots of your best bud. You’re welcome in the frame too. Sessions are $40, with $5 going straight to a nonprofit. Worth every penny.

DOG VENDORS
Bee’s Bark Bar, The Canine Creamery, and Major Dog Company will all be out selling ice cream, treats and bandanas/apparel for your pup.

DOG GIVEBACK
All bingo card proceeds go directly to Ahimsa House, Georgia’s first and only organization helping human and animal victims of domestic violence reach safety together.

Hosted by Louie Louie, a New Orleans infused seltzer with some of the tastiest flavors. They’ll be out sampling during the event, as well as in our coolers and in 4 packs to go.

What’s that? The Mother Clucker is back?

One of the first sandwiches on our menu took a year long hiatus, but it’s coming back as a three week special. Ed’s firing up the Big Green Egg to give it that smokey taste we all remember and love.

The Mother Clucker: housemade chicken salad, lettuce, tomato, on gluten free bread. No nuts, no grapes, just the good stuff. Perfect for when it’s hot as balls outside.

Runs Tuesday, August 18th - Sunday, September 6th. May run out on weekends if busy. 🍻
