Gin Tonics will always be a classic. But mixing your gin with mead is a great way to bring your drink if the Spring to the next level.

The Flight of the Pollinator brings the rich botanicals of and adds notes of citrus from Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao and Cocchi Americano. This gets mixed then topped with Charm City Wildflower Mead to give it the perfect hint of Springtime honey with a perfect dry finish.

Try one next time you are ready to relax on the porch after a long day of work to enjoy what the bees have brought to bloom.

Coffey, not coffee.

In the last five years, people have started notice that Japanese Whiskies are phenomenal, becoming incredibly popular and increasingly rare.

This popularity has caused the supply of Japanese whisky to evaporate, with whisky makers boost productioning and creating new expressions to adapt.

Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky is not made with coffee, but is distilled in historic Coffey stills that create a Japanese take on bourbon.

The Coffey Grain has sweet hints of vanilla, caramel, and sweet cream with an undercurrent of baking spices, roasted corn, and a light nuttiness. However, unlike bourbon, this is soft, light bodied, easy to drink, and in classic Japanese style, perfectly balanced.

The Smoked Apple Old Fashioned: A very quick adventure in batching cocktails.

Batching cocktails is always great for entertaining, or for always having a drink ready to go during a pandemic.

Also, smoking whole drinks or specific ingredients is a lot of fun. You can taste the campfire notes in this old fashioned variation and it really enhances the apple flavor, as well as the rye whiskey notes specifically.

This drink can definitely be made without smoking it as well and will be just as good, with more hints of the sweet corn from the bourbon and the orange from the Cointreau. Try it both ways to and let us know what you think!

One of the most recognizable cocktails of all time, the Martini has changed, evolved, devolved, and become a staple at any bar.

This is the classic Martini recipe:

2.5oz Empress 1908 Gin
0.5oz Dolin Dry Vermouth
3 Dashes Fee Brothers Orange Bitters
Lemon Twist Garnish

The original Martini is always made with gin, usually a London style, as well as a dry vermouth. For the record, a Dry Martini is very much suppose to contain vermouth, making up between 1/5 to 1/2 of the entire drink. Certainly not just a whisper or a wave over the glass.

This martini uses Empress gin to give it its beautiful indigo hue, and gives this martini notes bright citrus and light spice that compliments the dry, woodiness of the vermouth. Combined with orange bitters and lemon oils, a classic martini makes for a clean, bracing, and refreshing drink that can’t help but make you feel classy.

And please, whatever you do, stir your martinis, don’t shake it.

We’ve been looking for some interesting gins lately and ran into to Seersucker Southern Style Gin.

It is fresh and super clean, thanks in part to it being distilled with lots of mint and citrus peel. There are sweet notes of honey too that make it great for Gin Tonics or citrus based cocktails, and would be absolutely crazy if you have any watermelon juice! That said, you might want to avoid Seersucker in heavier drinks like a Negroni or a Martinez as it might lose some of the bright character that makes it shine. You should definitely give Seersucker a try!

Let us know if you’ve had Seersucker or would like some great gin recipes to try!

In the time of social distancing, batching cocktails is a perfect way to responsibly share a drink with friends, give as a gift, or enjoy a ready made drink any time. Just add ice!

This trio of rye whisky based cocktails are spirt forward and full of complex flavor. The Sazerac and the Vieux Carré are New Orleans classics and the Green Point is a fantastic update on the Manhattan.

Looking for drinks this weekend? Try .atl.

Mockingbird: This twist on a Paloma uses chai to highlight the spice and vanilla from double barrel aged tequila while still being perfectly refreshing.

Shinjuku: Japanese whisky makes this Manhattan variation a light and easy sipper with the lightest hint of smoke.

Three Tone System: Bittersweet notes temper the powerful brushfire flavors of Mezcal while a playful nuttiness keeps things in perfect balance.
