Dynamic El Dorado

10/18/2026

Meet Beth Anne (a woman!), a middle-aged beauty queen (almost!) who has spent her life shape-shifting into what she thinks others want. Then she goes looking for her reflection in Medusa, the Sirens of The Odyssey, and the Weird Sisters of Macbeth.

DENTATA is a darkly comic show drawing on the bouffon tradition, written and performed by Julia VanderVeen (who taught clown at Dynamic El Dorado in 2025) and directed by Jess Lazar. Four and a half stars from The Reviews Hub.

TRAD is a satire of trad-wife culture and the Christian nationalist beliefs behind it, staged as a seminar where the audience plays the attendees. Expect to be called on. Premiered to sold-out houses at The Exponential Festival and played the Philadelphia Fringe.
