Why do you do sport?
While answers might vary, at the heart of response we hear the community, the connection. Even for those of us who answer - the test, the challenge, the win - the same remains: finding the core of ourselves and what we are capable of, the community of self in relation.
The Red Granite Grinder is an event like no other in that we dove into the lifeblood first. The people. Landmark in Athens is a big piece of Athens’ beating heart. Food, friends, conversation, connection.
When we visited we were told “I come here every single day, the food is delicious and they care”. We saw others preemptively paying for tabs, we tasted some stomach filling fuel and cheers’d among the memorabilia that gives a nod to what makes this community SO special, the people. A people who have cared and backed that up in action.
