We have a new batch of Green Bridge IPA, fresh off the canning line today! Green Bridge is our West Coast IPA, refreshingly bitter, and brewed with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe, and Citra hops. Named for the iconic swimming hole in the Athens County area (IYKYK 😉).

New beer alert! “Oud Bruin”. A wine barrel-aged sour brown ale in the Belgian tradition, aged for 3 years in red wine barrels. Beautiful notes of chocolate, black currant, oak, and red wine, with a balanced acidity and moderate sweetness. Blended from only 2 oak barrels to produce about 8 kegs-worth. This one is available on draft only in Athens, and should hit Dayton next week.

We’re stoked to bring you another year of our funky take on Oktoberfest! This year, we have live traditional German folk tunes by Die Musikmeisters of Appalachia from 3:00-6:30, interlaced with a German-inspired playlist all day when the band is not playing.

Games!:

-The “Stump Game”, you know the one we are talking about. The trademarked hammer & nail drinking game.

-STEIN HOIST COMPETITION AT 6:00!

Beers! We will have, at a minimum, these German-style lagers & ales:

-Abseil Pilsner
-Karmanfest (Festbier)
-Ohio Weizen (Hefeweizen)
-Pawpaw Weizen (Hefeweizen with pawpaws)

FOODS: Traditional German fare, details forthcoming.

Traditional Oktoberfest garb and costumes encouraged, but not necessary. Can’t wait to see you there!

Saturday 10/3, 2:00 to close.

Can availability update: Boy, ya’ll have been thirsty! The brew crew is hard at work to keep canning at the speed at which you’re buying them, but it ain’t easy. This week, we’ll be canning more Ohio Weizen. For now, we have:
-Guava Reinheitsgewhat!?: Our “quick-sour” wheat ale with coriander, chamomile, grains of paradise, and loads of guava purée. Unlike our barrel-aged sour beers, we ferment this one quickly with a Lachancea yeast that produces both acidity and ethanol. The result is a sessionable tart, wheaty, fruity crusher. 4.2% abv.
-Woodthrush: Our flagship farmhouse ale, amber in color, and lightly spiced with coriander, lemon peel, and grains of paradise. Malty, bready, light sweetness, light pepper and clove notes. 6.7% abv.
-Abseil Pils: German-style Pilsner. Firm but balanced bitterness from Hallertauer Mittelfruh and Czech Saaz hops. 5.5% abv.

Enjoy these for now and keep up with us on Instagram and Facebook for regular updates!
