The 41st Annual North Georgia Folk Festival will be held October 10, 2026 at Sandy Creek Park, 400 Holman Rd, Athens, Georgia

The Virtual event featured three episodes of music, storytelling, and art. All episodes are available on YouTube . and on our website: http://www.NorthGeorgiaFolkFestival.org

Music: Art Rosenbaum, Caroline Aiken, The Banditas, Cicada Rhythm, Fester Hagood, Georgia Sirens, Hawk Proof Rooster, Hog-eyed Man, Joe Willey, Lisa Wooten, MrJordanMrTonks, John McCutcheon, Hope For Agoldensummer, Nina Ricci, Paul Edelman, Rob Sutherland and Tommy Jordan, Around the Globe Sea Chantey Singers, Skillet Lickers, String Theory and Veronika Jackson. Artists: Beth Zorbanos (corn shuck dolls), Cathy Pentz (jewelry), Janice Hall (face jugs), Chelsea Born (Jewelry), Rebecca Gilliard (sweet grass baskets), Vanda Guthrie (graphic art), Rob Sutherland (pottery), Peter Loose (folk art) and Tex Crawford (folk art). Storytellers: Art Rosenbaum, Mary Jean Hartel and Pat Shields.

Hey Friends - Sad news - we have hurricane coming (again) and it is specifically targeting this weekend - so we are canceling the North Georgia Folk Festival. We will reconvene with a smaller, indoor event in the next month or so and, hopefully, a full festival in April 2027. We remain UNDAUNTED!

Meanwhile, the Monterey Pop event at Terrapin Brewery on Saturday has been moved inside for a full day of great music inspired by the historic Monterey Pop performances. Head on over there for the day instead.

Dear Friends. We are truly sad to tell you that, considering the terrible forecast of rain and wind for the coming weekend, we are canceling the North Georgia Folk Festival scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 10.
We are already planning a rescheduled event for the November/December timeframe and perhaps a full festival for the Spring.
We have all done so much work over the past several months to prepare for the Folk Festival, and I am grateful to all of you for helping to make this the wonderful event that it is.
We’ll be back in touch very soon. XO and stay safe this weekend!
