It’s that time again.

Safely serving drinks to patrons and guests is one of the most important things as a mixologist: for the protection of establishments, and patrons. Alcohol sales can create a liability in the event industry.

It’s so important to hire bartenders who can safely serve guests, effectively cut guests off without creating an uproar, and making sure all guests still have a great time!

Knowledge and observation is required! Safety is always an important aspect with my business!

Finishing the year off with a 3-Day bar event serving Aero Vironmental.

Riddle me this - What do you get when you put a bunch of drunk aero engineers in a room?

A spontaneous design review where everyone insists the bourbon vortex is totally within the allowable swirl ratio.

Couldn’t have pulled this off without my girl!

Two more nights for this large event! We had a fun evening meeting new people and trying some snacks!

Hey guys!

It’s me — SJ!

Periodically I like to re-introduce myself and remind my friends and followers about my services! As you all know, I created “Served by SJ” about 6 months ago and began with a lot of great response from your interactions and shares. I’m so thankful for that momentum you guys helped create for me!

A little bit about me: First and foremost, I’m a mom of two working as a healthcare professional in Madison City and completing my BS of Healthcare Management this year! I can’t wait to finally have this accomplishment under my belt! Being a native of Athens, it’s so exciting to see how the heart of this city has grown and developed into a beautiful community that I get to call “home.” My fiancé is a pilot in the USAF stationed in New Mexico, right now and my (almost) bonus daughter lives in South Carolina with her mom & step-dad. Call me biased, but I think we have a beautifully blended family.

I started ”Served by SJ” as a way to interact with my community and provide event bartending as a way to become more impactful in my work. Bartending is something I truly enjoy doing. Meeting new people and celebrating their achievements, milestones and life-long goals is something I take pride in. These are the types events that deserved to be celebrated at whatever capacity you choose, great or small! I’ve got plenty of weekends opened this year just for these types of events and I can’t wait to serve you!

Quick clip of tonight’s event.

I didn’t get as much content as I would have liked, but I was a busy girl tonight and the bar guests kept it coming.

You know you’ve got the right crowd when you can go from bridgerton to swag surfin’.

This couple was the perfect pair and their family was top-notch. From sneaky polaroids to chugging drinks & lighting ci**rs, this bridal party & the newlyweds guest partied from every genre between 2007-2015.

The emcee brought the millennial prom vibes and it was the chef’s kiss.

Tik Tok keeps messing my video’s up. 🙄 I should probably update it.

Heres a little snipped of last nights event. Tony and Nancy are seriously the coolest couple I have ever met.

What started as a way for men to drink their bourbon along side their spouse, in a manner that was inclusive to the idea that not all women enjoy bourbon — Turned into an annual event for friends and neighbors. Thus the idea of Beef & Bourbon.

They cooked and served some of the best brisket, bacon green beans, and cheese grits I’ve ever tasted in my life.

Tony curated special, patriotic bourbon cocktails exclusive to this event and while I never imagined pairing banana liqueur and nutmeg with bourbon, it was exquisite.

All of the guests donned red, white, and blue. I saw Lady Liberty, a star suit with an eagle attached, Mullets, American Flag Overalls, sweaters, t-shirts and dresses and lots of patriotic themes.

As this is an election year, with election day just around the corner, this event was incredibly noteworthy and special to witness.

I found the people who pour into their friends, community, loved ones, and celebrate this nation with unwavering love and support. Truly honored to participate in this event.
