Seeking bar back ( and/or bartender..tbd) for Merry Time.
Will train energetic, friendly person who can take direction from bartenders(even if blurted out hastily during a rush), has a good work-ethic, is clean, not too chatty, can work on their feet for long periods of time, lift 25 pounds, can bend, twist, and smile easily while engaging with the public. Very physical job. Must be able to work nights and weekends Great way to learn the ropes.

Barbacks are tipped by bartenders.
Shifts: up to 4 available for maximum of 20 hours summer gig (longer if a barback shows traits to develop as a bartender and bartender shifts become available). Thurs-sunday late afternoons/evenings.

Must be over 21 with olcc and Food Handler certificates at time training starts.

Thank you to everyone who competed , watched and supported the 5th Annual Salty Mermaid Cup last weekend! It was a huge success and we loved having y'all here

It's the 5th Salty Mermaid Cup Pinball tournament here at the Merry Time! Play starts Saturday at noon..all spots sold out in about an hour, but it's tons of fun to come hang out and enjoy the vibe and watch some terrific players.

We want to thank Zoey for flying in all the way from Boston to run things and Chris Rhodes of Wedgehead in Portland for bringing more games and helping out.

That's Todd(Of the TnT behind the Merry Time) in the photo posing with the trophy. Todd has been playing pinball for nearly 20 years. When we moved here 12-ish years ago, there wasn't much going on for a pinball enthusiastic like him, so he bought machines, curated our lineup, and works on all our machines. Since then, places like Galatix and North Coast Pinball in Nehalem have opened, Gizmos Arcade around the corner has more pins, and Astoria Pinball organized.

So, if you enjoy all the pinball and see Todd around, let him know. He has worked hard at it for years.

Due to many contributing reasons, this will likely be the last Salty Mermaid Cup.
We hope y'all have fun and make some grest memories.
