MARIE PAULINE
Daughter to Pauline Phillips Bruno and Orlando Bruno; sister, wife, mother, nunny (grandmother), aunt, friend, passed away on April 27, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was 78 years old.
Marie was a natural caregiver, who lived a vibrant life full of love, slapstick humor, kindness and compassion. She sparkled, shined and touched countless lives and there's no amount of words to express her energy and enthusiasm for loving her family and friends.
Marie is remembered for her enthusiasm for gardening, infectious energy and laugh and extroverted warmness. She was a star basketball player and graduate of Sharpsburg High School, Class of 1964. She and her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Wayne Dennis, were crowned Queen and King of Hearts, which has held firm for over 60 years.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Wayne Dennis; daughters, Anita (Dennis) Harman and Ermine Dennis; granddaughters, Samantha Harman and Olivia Harman; siblings, Edward Bruno and Judy, Ermine (Bruno) Klaus, Carol (Bruno) Yagulli and husband, Ralph Yagulli; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Bruno; and parents, Pauline and Orlando Bruno.
A Viewing and Funeral will be held at SLATER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES INC. SHARPSBURG, (820 Main St., Sharpsburg, PA 15215). Friends recieved Friday, May 2, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A Blessing Service will be held Saturday, May 3, at 11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life where friends and family are invited to gather, share memories and honor Marie's remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, and/or to the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, (www.phipps.conservatory.org) reflecting Marie's life-long love of flowers and gardens.
Heaven gained an Angel and she will be forever missed.
