Bittersweet news time: Our pals at Guajiro are packing up their food truck at Hi-Wire Biltmore Village to head back to their newly rebuilt, original home location. We don't have time to shed any tears, because we are too busy cheering them on!
Honestly, having them feed us during this post-Helene chapter has been an absolute gift. Watching them rebuild and bounce back after losing their space to the flood has been nothing short of inspiring, and we could not be more excited to see them flourish back where it all started. Go give them all the love (and eat as many Cuban sandwiches as humanly possible).
What does this mean for your tummy when you're hanging out at Biltmore Village? While our long-term food programming isn't fully set in stone just yet, you definitely won't go hungry. Keep an eye on our calendars & socials because we’ve got a whole parade of awesome food truck pop-ups coming your way while we fill out the schedule. And as always, outside food is 100% welcome under our roof!
September 9 will officially be our last day serving from the Guajiro food truck at Hi-Wire in Biltmore Village. After that, the truck will be retiring while we get our bearings and settle into our new brick-and-mortar home at Asheville Cotton Mill .
We’re still putting the finishing touches on our new space and working through our final permits. WE DO NOT HAVE AN OFFICIAL OPENING DATE JUST YET. We ask for a little patience while our team makes this big transition and gets everything ready to welcome you home.
And to our friends at Hi-Wire — thank you for giving Guajiro a home when we needed one most. Your support gave us a place to keep cooking, keep working and keep moving forward, and we’ll always be grateful. 💛
We’re almost home, Asheville. Stay tuned to Guajiro Cuban Comfort Food for opening updates
