Each year, our anniversary at The Pig brings a time of reflection. This year has been a bittersweet one for us. We’ve lost people very dear to us, reminders left in an empty seat or a photograph on the wall, their presence still with us, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. We are reminded that along with grief, joy coexists as we celebrated with our employees, the birth of 5 new piglets this year, 12 high school and 3 college graduations.

As the fabric of our life within our four walls changes shape, we have watched as the landscape downtown continues to evolve. We are sad to see Lumina, Carolina Tap House, Hoover Hatchet House and two boutiques, Pretty In Culler and Poppy and Peony Boutique close their doors. We encourage you to welcome Cloud Wine and The Corner Joint to the neighborhood and wish them well as they embark on their new journeys.

And The Pig, we continue to move forward, one day at a time with the best employees/ customers/friends/family God could give us. We are surrounded every single day with people who support us, love us and keep our dream alive. Forever thankful……. Cheers to 17 years!

We have 10 amazing students graduating from Asheboro High School tonight. This is always such a bittersweet time of year, knowing we will be saying goodbye soon. But, we are so very proud of them , their accomplishments, their character and their very bright future ahead of them. Go Comets.

In celebration of our 17th anniversary this month, Bill Lunsford designed a new summer logo for us and we are loving the vibe. We are accepting pre-orders through Sunday, June 7th. There will need to be a hard cut off as we would like to have them on hand for our anniversary. All pre-orders must be accompanied by payment. You can order your shirt in person at The Pig, over the phone or through Venmo. We encourage you to pre-order as we will have a very limited amount of extra t-shirts on hand. Venmo link is below.
