What better way to spend a rainy Sunday than Sunday service at The Patt?

The Joe Cirotti Trio joins us today from 4–7pm with Joe on guitar, Pete Lister on upright bass, and Tim Coyle on mandolin and guitar.

These guys bring a whole lot to three acoustic instruments. Bluegrass, folk, jazz, beautiful harmonies, and original songs right alongside their own takes on music you’d never expect from a string band. Their influences run from Doc Watson and Jerry Garcia to Django Reinhardt and Pink Floyd, which gives you some idea of how much ground they can cover in an afternoon.

We love having Joe, Pete, and Tim in the house, and a rainy Sunday feels like a pretty good excuse to spend a few hours with them.

Come in out of the rain. It’s warm in here. Grab some food, have a drink, and finish the weekend with us.

Today, 4–7pm at The Pattenburg House. No cover.

Tonight, The Patt Goes Piano Bar!

So many of you have asked for an evening like this. A little more laid-back, a little more stripped-down, with a great pianist and time to settle in and enjoy the music. Tonight, we’re making it happen as we welcome Peter Favilla for our first Patt Goes Piano Bar!

Known as Piano Pete, Peter brings serious range to the keys, from classical works to his own arrangements of Queen. He’s performed internationally and even directed, produced, and starred in a sold-out production of Pink Floyd’s The Wall. We’re thrilled to have that kind of talent right here at The Pattenburg House.

We’re setting the room for an evening of candlelight, cocktails, and piano. Come for dinner, grab a seat with friends, and help us give Peter a proper welcome. We’ve been looking forward to this one, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

The Darren DeMarco Band is finally back at The Patt tonight, and we’re ready for some good old-fashioned rock and roll!

Darren is a great friend of the House and one of the nicest guys you’ll meet. We always love having him here, and tonight he’s bringing the band, with Billy T on keys and a setlist packed with classic rock favorites.

This is a hard-rocking bar band that knows how to make a Friday night fun. Great songs, talented musicians, and plenty to sing along to. Come have dinner, grab a drink, and spend the evening with us.

It’s Thursday. You guys know what that means. Hand Picked by Joe Cirotti takes over The Pattenburg House, and we’ve really been looking forward to this one.

Part of the fun of Hand Picked is never quite knowing where Joe and his guests will take us. Tonight, they’ve got a full evening planned: Rain Dogs, a celebration of the songs of Tom Waits.

The idea comes from Chris Smith of the Spare Tire Band, who’s brought together a group of friends who are practically family. They’ve put time and care into preparing this show, and we’re excited to hear it all come together here at The Patt.

Chris leads the charge, with Pete Lister on bass, Lolo Gaffney on keys, Tony Gaffney on drums, their son Spencer on marimba, and Joe Cirotti on guitar. A marimba is a percussion instrument with wooden bars played with mallets, similar to a xylophone but with a warmer, deeper sound. The chance to see Spencer play it up close is a treat in itself.

If you don’t think you know Tom Waits, you may recognize more than you expect. His songs have found their way to so many listeners through other artists. Whether you’ve loved his music for years or are coming in curious, this is a great way to spend an evening with his catalog.

A full night of this music, played by these musicians in a room like ours, is a lot to look forward to. At $20, it’s a bargain, too.

Music starts at 6:30pm. $20 cover, added right to your check.

We can’t wait to share this one with you. See you tonight.

We can’t wait for this one! You have been asking and we heard you!

This Saturday @ 8pm
The Patt Goes Piano Bar
Featuring Peter Favilla

“EVERYONE — I’m so excited to make my debut at the Pattenburg House this Saturday night!! 🎹🔥

Bring me your ears. Give me your time. And PLEASE bring me your requests.

For three hours, the piano is fair game. Classics, rock, pop, guilty pleasures, deep cuts, songs I probably have no business attempting — throw ’em at me. 😂

This isn’t a sit-down-and-be-quiet piano recital. Come hang out, grab a drink, yell out a song, sing along, laugh, and let’s see where the night takes us.

PATT GOES PIANO BAR 🎹🍻
📍 Pattenburg House
📅 Saturday, September 12
⏰ 8 PM

Three hours. One piano. Your requests. Absolutely no promises about what happens after that.

COME OUT!!! 🎶🔥

Wednesday means Open Mic at The Patt.

Tonight, Gabriie Gonzalez takes the helm, and we’re really excited to have him back running the room. Gabriie has been part of so many great nights here, and he knows exactly what Open Mic is about. Give people a place to play, listen, meet other musicians, try something new, and see where the night goes.

That’s still our favorite part of Wednesdays. You never really know who’s going to walk through the door or what combination of musicians you’re going to hear. Some people come with a full set ready to go. Some come with one song they’ve been working up the nerve to play. Some end up jumping in with people they’ve never played with before. Everybody gets a shot.

Sign-up starts around 7PM. Music starts at 8PM and goes until the last person plays.

Want to make sure you get an early spot? Use the advance sign-up link to secure a spot during the first hour. Otherwise, just come on down and get your name on the list.

All the kids are back at school, summer is winding down, and it’s time to start getting into fall mode here at The Patt.

And man, our fall is STACKED.

We’ve got so much music coming your way over the next few months, and we can’t wait to share all of it with you. As always, we’ve got live music five days a week, and this week gets our fall season rolling with a little bit of everything.

WEDNESDAY 9/9 | 8PM
Pattenburg House Open Mic

Wednesday nights belong to Open Mic. Come play, come listen, bring something new, or just grab a seat and see who walks through the door. Some of our favorite musical connections have started right here.

THURSDAY 9/10 | 6:30PM
Hand Picked by Joe Cirotti ft. Rain Dogs: A Night of Tom Waits

This one is going to be incredible.

Chris Smith of the Spare Tire Band is leading a band assembled specifically for a night of Tom Waits, featuring Pete Lister, Lolo Gaffney, Tony Gaffney, Spencer Gaffney, and Joe Cirotti.

This is most likely a one-off lineup, although after Thursday we may all be hoping it isn’t. And whether you consider yourself a Tom Waits fan or not, there’s a pretty good chance you know and love some of his songs without even realizing they’re his. Come hear what this group does with them.

FRIDAY 9/11 | 8PM
Darren DeMarco Band

It’s been a while since we’ve had Darren at The Patt, and we’re really looking forward to having our friend back in the room with his new band.

Darren brings rock and roll in such a genuine and sincere way. There’s no pretense to it. Just great songs, a great band, and somebody who truly loves what he does. We love Darren here at The Patt, and we’re also already looking forward to having him back as part of Rock the Vets this November.

Friday night is a chance to welcome him back, hear the new band, and have a damn good night of rock and roll.

SATURDAY 9/12 | 8PM
The Patt Goes Piano Bar with Peter Favilla

People have been asking us for more jazz-oriented nights and more opportunities to hear music a little differently at The Patt. Saturday night, we’re doing exactly that.

We’re turning the lights down low and welcoming Peter Favilla to take over the room. If you know Peter from around Morris County or his work with Echo Land Studios in New York City, you already know. The guy is an absolute phenom, brimming with talent, and we’re giving him the room to do his thing.

No big production. Just a piano, a great player, a room full of people, and a beautiful night of music.

SUNDAY 9/13 | 4PM
The Joe Cirotti Trio

Sunday Service returns with the Joe Cirotti Trio. Joe and the guys have become such an important part of the musical fabric of The Patt, and there’s really no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Settle in, grab some food and a drink, and let these guys take the afternoon wherever it wants to go.

Summer may be winding down, but the music certainly isn’t.

Five days a week, every week.

TONIGHT AT THE PATT | ANTHONY KRIZAN BAND

We’ve been looking forward to this one.

Tonight we’re very excited to welcome Anthony Krizan and his band to The Patt for the first time. Anthony has one of those résumés where you start reading it and realize pretty quickly that this dude has been everywhere.

Former lead guitarist for the Spin Doctors. He toured opening for the Rolling Stones and the Allman Brothers, spent years playing alongside Jimi Hendrix Experience bassist Noel Redding, and is an original member of Amphibian with Phish lyricist Tom Marshall. As a songwriter, he co-wrote “Stand By My Woman” with Lenny Kravitz, wrote and recorded with the Spin Doctors, and has worked with artists including John Waite and Gretchen Wilson.

But the résumé is only part of it. Anthony’s own music lives somewhere between rock & roll, blues, soul and that dirty, swampy groove that just feels good in a room like ours.

And he’s bringing an absolutely killer band with him tonight, including some faces you may recognize from The Patt. Hummel. Shews. Biglin. These guys can PLAY.

Really excited to have all of them in the room and see where this one goes.
