We're back from our Austrian wine adventures, just in time to welcome summer to Beauty. The umbrellas are up, the garden is blooming and the patio is ready for lazy afternoons with crisp summer sippers - yes we have a wine named Patio Pounder! Add in Sip & Cinema, exciting podcast episodes and one of the best times of the year to join Bellezza Wine Club and June is shaping up beautifully.

A poem in free verse for . Dedicated to my Mom. 🥰
You always say
you can never quite find the words
to describe the flavors in wine.

And somehow,
that feels fitting for a poet.

Because maybe the best wines
aren’t meant to be explained perfectly.
Maybe they’re meant to be felt
like sunlight on a café table,
a train ride through somewhere beautiful
or laughter shared over one more glass.

Wine is bottled poetry, after all.
And you’ve taught me
that adventure tastes better
when we experience it.

From wine bars in Paris
to conversations that wander
like one more pour at the table,
some of life’s most fun adventures
have been with you.

Happy Mother’s Day
to my favorite poet,
and the woman who taught me
that not every beautiful thing
needs perfect words.

Sometimes, it just needs to be shared.

This month’s Wine Club hits a little deeper. Alegrante Rosé from Barboursville Vineyards and Michael Shaps Petit Manseng weren’t last-minute picks. I’ve had them set aside for months, knowing they felt right for my birthday and Beauty’s 4th anniversary. Wines that mean something. Wines with a story I believe in. But now, they matter even more.

Virginia wineries took a real hit with the frost this year. And if you know me, you know this isn’t just about what’s in the glass. It’s about the people, the land, the work behind every bottle. So this month, we’re celebrating, but we’re also showing up. For Virginia. For the growers. For the wines that deserve to be on your table. Come taste what that looks like. 💜
