That smile. That smile says it all.

For the first time in what feels like forever, there’s no constant crushing headacheβ€”just a mild oneβ€”and no numbness when he coughs. Seeing that change is hard to put into words. My heart is so full, and I am incredibly happy for him.

Now comes two weeks of restrictions. I know that will be tough because he already feels so much better, but these next two weeks are an important part of the healing process, and we are determined to do it right.

As we were leaving, Dr. Q gave Todd a hug and his final instructions: β€œListen to your wife!”

We are so grateful. Thank you, Lord, for carrying us through another scary chapter and for the healing we are already beginning to see. πŸ–€

Update on Big Daddy T….

The doctors have been keeping a close eye on him and seem determined to inspect every nook and cranny they can find. Between ultrasounds of his noggin and EKGs twice a day, they’ve been working hard to get a complete picture of what’s going on.

They discovered that the back chamber of his heart is enlarged, which can sometimes contribute to blood clots making their way to the brain. The standard echo didn’t give them the clear images they needed, so next up is a TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiogram). That’s the test where they guide a tiny camera down his throat to get a much better look at the back of his heart from inside the esophagus. Because a cerebral angiogram/angioplasty involves introducing catheters and balloons directly into the delicate arteries supplying the brain, doctors must confirm that the heart is not harboring hidden clots or structural abnormalities that could be aggravated or break loose during the procedure, which would cause an catastrophic ischemic stroke.

We’re grateful for a medical team that is being diligent and leaving no stone unturned. We would appreciate your continued prayers for his stroke care team. As always, we trust that God is holding Todd securely in His hands. πŸ–€

Thank you to everyone who has paused in your busy lives to make flyers for the doors, offer help and encouraging words, and continues to lift our family up. We are deeply grateful for the faith-filled love surrounding us as we navigate these stroke-related challenges. πŸ–€

We are prayerful to be back at it in a couple of weeks. God willing.

Kelsey has dedicated her nursing career to trauma and emergency medicine, spending years caring for critically ill and injured patients in both the emergency department and flight nursing setting. Throughout her experience responding to high-acuity emergencies, traumatic injuries, and life-threatening situations, she recognized how vital those first few moments truly are before advanced medical help arrives. Her passion for emergency response, education, and community preparedness became the driving force behind bringing CPR and life-saving training to local families and communities.

Nicole has spent her nursing career caring for patients across multiple healthcare settings including surgical orthopedics, emergency care, correctional nursing, and healthcare leadership. Alongside years of leadership experience in healthcare operations and nursing administration, she has continued working in clinical settings where rapid assessment, emergency response, and patient advocacy remain critical. Her passion for healthcare, education, and helping others feel prepared in high-stress situations made this partnership and mission a natural fit.

Together, we have experienced firsthand how quickly emergencies can happen and how life-saving interventions performed in those first critical minutes can truly make the difference between life and death. Our goal is to provide realistic, approachable, and confidence-building CPR education backed by years of real-world healthcare and emergency experience.

Whether you are a parent, coach, teacher, healthcare worker, babysitter, or simply someone who wants to be prepared, we believe everyone should have the knowledge and confidence to step in during an emergency.

Because when emergencies happen, preparation matters β€” and those skills could one day help save the life of someone you love. ❀️

We are incredibly thankful for all of the support already shown and cannot wait to continue serving and educating our communities!
