Dear Friends,
About 10 years ago we set our self with an impossible task. To found a place who will remind us of our beloved Provence while keeping the unique Northern Californian spirit.
Of course the obvious answer was Aptos, and from then on our life was simple.
My wife gave it her all and right away we enjoyed our busy restaurant adventure.
So many of you became friends, we can only be grateful for our 10 years journey.
Like any good story, it is hard to put an end to it, but it was time for us to follow a trail toward Monterey where we are going to open a new Au Midi restaurant early next year.
It is not too far and we hope many of you will visit us over there.

Meanwhile we are closing Au Midi in Aptos at the end of next month; our last day will be Saturday the 28th of October.

Needless to say that the following weeks are going to be filled with special dinners and parties where, I am sure, we will found a proper way to thank you for your continual support. Already we put back the sweetbread.

We will be posting dates and menus for our special events, but be sure that while our spirits are high, our hearts are heavy….

Dear Friends,
A single week of vacation was all we needed to renew all our creative energy.
All we had to do was to stay home and enjoy California at its best.

Of Course, Au Midi will be open on “the mother of all days”.
So on Sunday May 14th,we have to celebrate the special one who make us feel so special in her own special way.
