The opportunity to apply to be the next poet laureate for the City of Appleton is open!
Applicants must reside in the City of Appleton!
The Appleton Poet Laureate will serve as a passionate advocate for poetry, engaging our diverse population through a variety of avenues, including publication, performance, education, and outreach. Through this initiative, we aim to inspire artistic expression, nurture cultural understanding, and enrich our community’s shared narrative.
The honorary position of Appleton Poet Laureate is established by the mayor, who appoints based on recommendations from the poet laureate selection committee. Support to the Poet Laureate Selection Committee and the appointed poet laureate is provided by the Appleton Public Library.
