Mona Found Her Purpose ❤️

Some adoptions feel especially meant to be, and Mona’s is one of them.

Mona has officially been adopted and has made her way to Alabama, where she will begin her new life as a service dog for Angela. After unexpectedly losing their beloved dog, Clovis, just last week at only 7½ years old, their home felt incredibly empty. While no dog can ever replace Clovis, Mona has already begun helping this family heal their broken hearts and fill a home with love again.

We are so grateful to Angela and her family for opening their hearts to Mona and giving her such an important purpose. We know she is going to make a tremendous difference in your lives, just as you’ve already made a difference in hers.

A very special thank you goes out to Holly Romeis and Chris who not only fostered Mona and helped prepare her for this next chapter, but also generously sponsored her adoption. Foster families make stories like this possible.

We would also like to thank Dog Academy Clubhouse for the use of your outdoor space.

Father’s Day Special at Franklin Cafe

Join us on Sunday, June 21st, 2026, for a special three-course Father’s Day meal created to celebrate Dad.

All dads will receive one complimentary drink as part of the celebration.

First Course
Fried Seafood Medley featuring Gulf Coast favorites including shrimp, oysters, calamari, and mussels, lightly fried and served golden.

Entrée
8oz Spiced Bone-In Pork Chop, a thick-cut, spice-rubbed pork chop served with sweet potato and bourbon butter carrots.

Dessert
Caramelized Banana Cheesecake topped with amaretto caramelized bananas.

$55 + Tax

Our full regular menu will also be available all day, so guests can choose between the Father’s Day special and their Franklin Cafe favorites.

Well Dive Bar Fam, the alarm clock just committed a hate crime, the coffee hasn’t kicked in, my back sounds like a bag of microwave popcorn, and somehow it’s already time to go to work. Time to unlock the gates of chaos and see what fresh nonsense awaits. Will someone try to pay with a guitar pick? Will a customer explain how to run a bar despite never having run a lemonade stand? Will somebody lose their ID, their dignity, and their flip-flops all in the same night? Who knows. All I know is somewhere out there a bartender is icing down beer, a cook is questioning their life choices, a security guard is preparing to explain the same rule 47 times, and a dive bar manager is gearing up for another shift fueled by caffeine, sarcasm, and pure stubbornness. Wish me luck. The circus opens in a few hours and apparently I’m one of the clowns.
