Historic Annapolis' Living History volunteer Ken rides the thin line of shade along our patio during a scorching day.

Living History demonstrations are an informative, interactive and fun part of downtown Annapolis. Our cross street, Pinkney Street, has a number of historically significant stops including the Shiplap House, Hogshead Tavern and our next door neighbor, the Waterfront Warehouse.

Paint Annapolis, and Annapolis Arts Month, is one of our favorite events in Naptown.

Over 100 artists from around the world descend on our city to paint en plein air, or "in the open air." (This admins favorite technical art approach)

Featured in this video is Willie Kunkel, painting our saloon and the broader Market Space corridor. His piece, titled simply "McGarvey's" will be available to view during Art on the Avenue today from 5-7pm on Maryland Avenue.

If you know us, then you know our collection of fighter pilot helmets are our prized possession.

Our "Flight Crew" project has been ongoing for two years. We are documenting the history of these helmets with the plan of producing plaques that honor the lives of the brave individuals who fought for our country.

While we are still a bit off from having the full histories we want, we have made good progress. Taking pictures that showcase the details of these helmets is an important step.
