Dinner on Fernwood We try to serve tasty food on most Sunday evenings, but it's not about the food. Come join us. We usually have a few soft drinks and b**r choices.

Really...you don't need to bring anything, unless maybe there is something special you like to drink. Potlucks can be competitive--even if only in our own minds--or feel like a duty that has to be fulfilled to get to the goal: spending a little time with other people in our community.

This Sunday, October 25, 2026, is our last blast before we drive off to California for the winter. (Stay tuned to see if we can pull off a December 19th dinner when we are back for a short visit).

Robert could not let the year go by without making roast beef, so he will be making sauerbraten with vinegar and spices and Lisa will be making Julia Child's roast beef recipe with red w**e. German noodles (spatzen) and carrots and onions cooked with the roast will be on the menu, along with another loaf of bread from Dub's bakery around the corner from our house.

Hope to see you one last (or next to last) time in 2026!

It's time for that fall classic--grilled cheese and tomato soup! Robert will bring his grilling skills indoors this Sunday, September 27th, and will even be accepting special orders for cheese and bread combinations.

Can't say for sure yet, but hoping to be able to start us out with some chicken lettuce wraps.

We're gonna go for it! Having tested this "Sheet Pan Chicken Pat Pot Recipe" we're gonna serve it up this Sunday, September 13th.

Also, fruit, cheese and crackers, and some crusty bread, along with chocolate cake for dessert.

It's called Sheet Pan Chicken pot pie. And no, those don't look like sheet pans, but they were the right volume for half a recipe to give it a whirl.

This Sunday, September 6, 2026, we will be serving up homemade spaghetti sauce, imported Italian capellini, garlic bread, tossed salad, and some kind of cake for dessert.
