Dinner on Fernwood

Christmas morning brunch is making a Fernwood comeback this year! The last four years we have been in California, but we will be in town for about a week this December, so come on over starting at 9:30 on the morning of the 25th for coffee and tea, o.j., waffles with maple syrup, scrambled eggs, and turkey bacon.

Some other menu items may appear depending on what we can come up with as time allows. Hope to see you then! (And can someone turn up the Michigan temperature before we fly in?).

This Sunday October 19 will wrap up the 2025 season of Dinner on Fernwood. We shall be cooking a roast, Julia Child style, in red wine with carrots. Homemade German noodles--spatzen aka spaetzle, salad, and dessert are also on the menu.

This Sunday, October 12, we will be making chicken thighs and green beans. We will have a bread, salad and dessert as well. This is the second to the last of Sunday dinners

As the calendar moves into mid autumn, we will have lasagna with freshly made pasta, garlic bread, salad, and a desert of some type. Its a good time to come for dinner.

As an ode to the summer gone by, this Sunday, September 28, we will be having burgers and chicken apple sausages. Metzger's german potato salad has just been added to the menu, along with marinated green beans.

We had to give our charcoal grill away due to changing condo insurance rules, so the burgers and dogs will be coming hot off the griddle.

And churro (cinnamon) cheesecake from ED'S in Mikan for dessert!

This Sunday, September 21, we will be busy until 5pm, so we'll have pizza and salad. This gives us chance to use a bunch of coupons we bought at a fundraiser for ONE ITEM pizzas.

(We told some people this was the plan for September 28th, but we were confused 🙄😵‍💫).

This Sunday, the last day of August, we will share tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches to welcome back the autumn weather. Hope to see you!

On Sunday August 24, we shall have a taste of Greece. Spanakopita as an appetizer with Pastitcio for the main course. Only the Pastiticio will be from scratch. We will also have salad and bread.

It's not a must, but uf you know you'll be there and put it in the commenti, it helps us prep.
