Dear valued patrons, friends, and supporters,

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the closure of The Whiskey House after 7 1/2 memorable years. Despite our best efforts and dedication, we have found ourselves unable to continue operations, and as of now, we are closed for good.

The decision to close was not an easy one, and I wish we had more optimistic news to share. Unfortunately, recent months have been challenging, with slow business and unforeseen obstacles hindering our ability to stay afloat. Despite our best efforts to weather the storm, we have come up short on rent, leading to this difficult decision.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who have supported us over the years. Whether you were a regular patron, a loyal customer, or a friend of The Whiskey House, your support has meant the world to us. We embarked on this journey with the vision of bringing something unique to Ankeny - craft cocktails, scratch-made food, and live entertainment - and it has been a privilege to serve this community.

While we could not have predicted the challenges of the past few years, we are grateful for the memories we have shared and the friendships we have made along the way. To our incredible team, I extend my sincerest thanks for your hard work, dedication, and resilience. You have been the heart and soul of The Whiskey House, and I have no doubt that you will excel in whatever endeavors you pursue next.

As we say goodbye, I ask that you continue to support the local businesses that make our community vibrant and unique. Though our doors may be closed, the spirit of The Whiskey House will live on in the memories we have created together.

Hurry down for Adam Whitehead! Born in Marshalltown, Iowa, Country Music is in his Blood. Before Adam’s Whitehead’s time, his father John Whitehead Jr., made his living throughout the 1970’s by way of Country Music. His father’s voice was smooth, calming and with easy listening tones, created an influence for Adam throughout his younger years. A Country Music Association Artist Member, AW burst into the country scene with his debut single, Outlawed. AW was featured on Heartland Network and the Country Network’s ‘On The Rise’ and the Top 20 Countdown. He shared stages with Struggle Jennings, Tyler Braden, Demun Jones, Sam Grow and others. Adam routinely performs small town bars, Ho**ey Tonks, Dance and Pool Halls around the Midwest, predominantly Iowa and Missouri. Initially, AW’s plans to perform modern country music were made good with nearly a #1 EP, in 2020. ‘Single Mom' with fellow Iowan and Nashville Recording Artist, Dalles Jacobus, shot up the iTunes and Apple Music Country Album Charts to #2 ( #19 All-Genre). In 2022, Adam transitioned to roots, blues, with Americana and Rock vibes with the release of “Life and Outlaw Sh*t”, a fan favorite along with ‘The Way Whitley Done It'. The latter peaking at #45 on the Billboard Top 100 Current Album Chart, #74 on Top Album Sales, and #31 on their Breaking and Entering Chart.
