Late Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms out there 💐

Before I was the Chef and the vision behind Monica’s Mithai Shop, Monica’s Mithai Cafe & Bar, and my newest venture Monica’s Brands — I was, and always will be, a mom first. ❤️

This journey truly began after the birth of our youngest, who came into this world as a micro preemie. During one of the most emotional and challenging chapters of our lives, food, family, and culture became even more meaningful to me. What started as a passion project soon became a purpose.

Monica’s Mithai Shop was inspired by our oldest, who always loved authentic Indian mithai — the kind of traditional desserts that are so hard to truly find in the United States. I wanted my children to grow up connected to the flavors, traditions, and warmth that I grew up with. From that vision, the brand slowly evolved into a full culinary experience — bringing together Indian flavors, modern twists, hospitality, and community through Monica’s Mithai Cafe & Bar and now Monica’s Brands.

Behind every late night, every recipe, every event, every risk, and every dream… are my kids. They are the reason I push harder, dream bigger, and continue building something meaningful not just for our family, but for our community.

Mother’s Day is incredibly special to me because it reminds me that the greatest title I will ever have is “Mom.” Everything else came after. ✨

And to end the special day, I had the best Mother’s Day dinner date at Bricco in the North End — followed by a beautiful walk through the city streets and some fresh gelato to finish the night perfectly. ❤️🍨

To all the mothers balancing dreams, businesses, careers, family, and everything in between — this is your reminder that your strength never goes unnoticed. Happy (late) Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there. 💕
