Hello friends! It's been a long while since I last posted. It continues to be a rough road for Teddy's. We are not able to find staffing to be open as a restaurant, so we are only doing catering at this time. I know this is disappointing - for all of us! I have been working at another job for about a year now, which helps to keep the coolers and lights on at Teddy's. Our goal remains the same! To get back open and seeing you all at Teddy's! We have been humbled and honored by all the kind and encouraging messages you have sent by phone and FB. It means so much! At this time, I believe our best chance of successful reopening will be next Spring.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. We cannot find a single cook, let alone the 3-4 we usually have in the kitchen. So, we're moving forward with a different plan.
1) We will be opening on specific evenings with specific menus and these evenings will be seated by reservation only. We cannot start this new adventure until harvest is complete. We will announce a date on FB and on our answering machine approx 3 weeks in advance and begin taking reservations by phone until we are filled. The calls will be returned in the order they are received. It is important in this scenario that if you make a reservation, you will be able to commit to coming as empty seats will not be conducive to continuing this effort.
2) All gift certificates will be honored, and you can use multiple gift certificates at one visit.
3) Additionally, we have been doing some catering throughout our closure and plan to continue with this. It has allowed us to control when we have availability to staff and what products we know we need to purchase. We will be setting up events such as bridal showers, baby showers, rehearsal dinners, retirement parties, class reunions, Christmas parties, and holiday events as before. If you have a group of 25 or more, we'll book a date for your party and work out a menu and pricing.
4) We will not be open Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. We are still considering whether or not to have a New Year's Eve buffet.

This is not the news I had hoped to share and it's been difficult to make this post. This is not what we want, our family of 5 all have full time jobs (yes, I took a job) so we just cannot do it every weekend by ourselves. I have support staff that have stayed available to me throughout the last year and a half, but all of them have full time jobs as well . SHOUTOUT TO THE FAITHFUL FEW!! It actually would be easier to just stay closed, but so many of you have reached out with encouragement and support, and everywhere I go people are telling me how much they miss their favorite fish or steak or mashed potatoes. So, we want to try this and see if we can make it work. It's what we love to do, so let's see how this goes.

Time for an update. My surgery went very well and I am anxious to get back to work! However, we cannot find cooks! We could use your help, so please help spread the word - TEDDY'S NEEDS COOKS!! We will train as long as you enjoy cooking and/or eating! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Hello! Teddy's was planning on reopening, but it has been pushed back again, maybe a couple months yet. ๐Ÿ˜ง I have recently been told I need to have some surgery (not cancer). We are all so disappointed as we miss our customers and our staff and the hum of a happy restaurant! We WILL be back and better than ever! We will honor all gift certificates, regardless of expiration dates. We are booking events for summer 2021 and beyond, and so anxious for the fun to resume! Thank you all for bearing with us during these trying times! โค๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’›

A New Year, bringing renewed hope, new changes and challenges, and hopefully new opportunities for health, wealth, and happiness. Blessings to our awesome customers and staff in 2021! We hope to be open again in February.

I'm sorry but we are not able to be open this weekend. I am also sorry I cannot say with certainty when we will be open again. We had hoped to be open after I got the all clear from the Coronavirus (which I haven't got yet because of a persistent low grade fever still on day 15) but with the new restrictions on dining groups and private parties, we may wait to open again until this outbreak has a downturn and the recent restrictions are lifted.

These decisions to be open or closed are so hard! Our Christmas parties have cancelled for the most part, our regular dining always takes a down turn in December, and the weather in January usually requires us to close on occasions due to winter weather conditions.

Although the road to navigating our new normal during a pandemic has been difficult, I am determined not to close for good! We can weather a few more months of paying our overhead and waiting for this surge to pass.

Everyone stay safe! Thanks for your continued support and encouragement!

Another 2020 curveball!

I have tested positive for Covid. As we are short-staffed in the kitchen with my husband and son (both currently no symptoms) doing most of the cooking, our kitchen crew is all under quarantine. We must remain closed again this weekend, the 13th and 14th.

I apologize to our customers with reservations and those who hoped to come our way this weekend.

I am feeling well with my worst symptoms being fever and no sense of taste or smell, which is hard for a foodie.๐Ÿ˜ซ Only one other member of our crew was exposed and has had no symptoms. We expect to be open again on Friday, November 20th and Saturday the 21st.

Thank you for your support and encouragement! Our staff and customers are the best!!

Teddy's will be closed this weekend, Nov 6th and 7th due to staff shortages and staff exposure to Covid. Sorry for the inconvenience, and especially sorry to those with reservations. We will be contacting those folks directly.

10/31/2020

We will be closed tonight, Oct 31st due to staff shortage. We are hiring for all positions!
