When I started Sanctified, the goal was simple: Long Island deserved a regular dark alternative dance night. As the months went on, I started receiving messages from members of the LGBTQIA+ community thanking us for creating a space where they felt comfortable being themselves. Those messages inspired the first Pride in the Dark last year.

To see it grow into what it became this past weekend is honestly incredible.

Seeing familiar faces, meeting new ones, and watching so many different communities come together to celebrate music, art, self-expression, and Pride was something truly special.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this event. Thank you to our bands, DJs, drag performers, burlesque performers, vendors, photographers, Amityville Music Hall, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this happen.

Most importantly, thank you for showing up, being yourselves, and helping create the welcoming community that makes events like this possible.

Priscilla has been a self taught Tarot reader since 1999. She is descended from a long line of Hindu spiritualists, worked in temples as a child, and has been an academic scholar of Eastern and Western spiritualities for her entire life. She specializes in kind, compassionate, informative tarot readings with applications of Western astrology applied. She also holds a degree in Communications from SUNY Suffolk and graduated with honors. Apart from her extremely proficient spiritual knowledge, she has a background in corporate administration, and combines these tools and knowledge to give in-depth, succinct Tarot readings while at her residency at Amityville Music Hall.

DJ Ian Ford is a cornerstone of NYC’s underground electronic scene. A veteran of the legendary The Bank, he has held simultaneous residencies at Webster Hall, Splash, XL, Eris, The Bar, and currently QXT's.

A House and Techno DJ with a Gothic heart, Ian blends darkwave atmosphere with driving underground energy. His sound has carried him to dance floors in Boston, Philadelphia, Providence, DC, Utah, Brazil, and London.

Beyond the booth, he champions sober nightlife as the founder of Caffeine Underground, an 8-year-running hub for underground culture.

Working across canvas, collage, ink, and even hand-tattooed synthetic skin using real tattoo ink, each piece lives somewhere between beautiful and unhinged, like a love letter passed through a haunted carnival. From goth icons to social commentary, Mayhem’s work celebrates outsiders, weirdos, and the gloriously “too much.”
