RAW PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT: Lucho Lawless 🔥
"Muscles. Rhinestones. Tiny shorts. Questionable judgment.
Somewhere in there, Lucho Lawless accidentally built himself a burlesque career.
Since making his debut at Spring Equinox at RR Bar, Lucho has been conducting a highly scientific investigation into exactly how much chaos one man can cause with a stage, a spotlight, and increasingly elaborate ways to take his clothes off. The research has taken him to Colorado Springs for Meat Market II and Filth 12, and most recently to the Golden Tiki Pirate Party, where he clocked in for lifeguard duty with “Sexy and I Know It.” No lives were saved. Several dollars were collected. The investigation continues.
His extracurricular activities include talking shop with Viktor Devonne on the WEBurlesque podcast, putting all those hours at the gym to good use in the BHOF Photo Frolic for Bachelor Pad Magazine, and providing the USDA-approved beef in the Homo Erectors. It’s a demanding position, but somebody has to bring the meat.
Seven months in, Lucho has learned a few things: rhinestones improve almost everything, audiences are terrible influences, big quads are apparently a marketable skill, and giving him attention only encourages him.
He’d also like to thank every producer, performer, mentor, photographer, audience member, and fellow weirdo who has welcomed him, taught him something, booked him, cheered him on, or otherwise enabled this increasingly expensive hobby. You encouraged him. You applauded. Some of you even gave him money.
So really, you only have yourselves to blame.
He came here to try burlesque.

Somebody really should have supervised him better."

He is a multi-award winning performer both as a soloist and as 1/3 of The Brotherhood of Burlesque. He is one of the originators of Colorado Springs burlesque as one of the 8 original members of Peaks and Pasties. He is the creator and producer of Stripped in Colorado Springs located in downtown Colorado Springs at Frisky’s. The show spotlights the local LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC performers of all shapes, sizes, and identities.
