Back at last!!🥳 Marechal Foch, Late Harvest Riesling & barrel aged, unfiltered, Chardonnay!

Available at select stores and also in our new location in Downtown Alpena, 215 Water St. (This is where we have been producing our wine and cider for about the last decade).

Now open with limited hours:
Fridays and Saturdays 12:00-7:00ish sometimes later on beautiful & busy days.

We are hoping to be open 7 days a week by early summer.🤩

Thunder Bay Winery has moved to our new location!!🥳 The tasting room is now located within our production building @ 215 Water St., downtown Alpena, look for the big blue building!
We’re having a soft opening this weekend Friday and Saturday 12:00-7:00. We are very excited about this latest step in our journey, with much more to come in the near future! We hope you stop by and say hello.

Thunder Bay Winery is moving our downtown tasting room into our production building just a few blocks away. We will temporarily be closed until everything is set up and ready to go. Soon you will be able to taste, drink, and purchase our wine and cider in the actual winery, surrounded by tanks, barrels and all of the operations all in one place! With additional outdoor space and a location only a very short stroll from the river and marina, it’s the beginning of a long term goal for us!!
We are attempting to be open by late May or early June, in the meantime our wine can be found in many local stores. This location will bring many things, including new wines, vintages and amazing sales! Keep your eyes and ears open for more details!🥳

Good news is that the vineyard seems to be mostly unaffected by the ice storm (the trellises offer excellent protection). We do have some work ahead of us, and many fruit trees down.
No electricity yet for this Winemaker at home, although the winery thankfully has power.
The winery will not be officially open today due to the ongoing challenges this storm presents.

If you see me at the winery in between hauling wood, water or gas for generators, I’d be happy to sell you a few bottles of wine or chat for a few. Hopefully we will be open Friday and Saturday.
