DC Black Tie Club International

DC Black Tie Club International Black Tie Club is a private, gentlemen's social club whose members enjoy cocktail parties, exquisite formal dinners, and the finest of wines.

The Washington, D.C. Chapter began with 22 Members in 1998 and has now some 60 Members. The peripatetic nature of Black Tie Club Members is evidenced by the fact that many D.C. Chapter Members are now found in other Chapters such as Asheville, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, New York/New Jersey, Palm Beach, Palm Springs, and Rehoboth Beach-Lewes. Chapter also has been enhanced by Members from other Chap

ters, notably, Atlanta, Dallas, New York/New Jersey, Palm Beach, Palm Springs, San Antonio, and San Francisco. Membership is by invitation only. Dress is always black tie only. Black Tie Club International has more than 1000 Members. There are 21 Chapters: Ashville, Atlanta, Baton Rouge, Central Florida [Daytona Beach, Orlando, and Jacksonville], Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Laguna Beach, Los Angeles, New Mexico, New York-New Jersey, Palm Beach, Palm Springs, Philadelphia, Phoenix-Scottsdale, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco, Rehoboth Beach-Lewes, Rochester-Finger Lakes, Toronto, and Washington, DC.

This Thursday, September 9th, is 2nd Thursday Happy Hour Cocktails and gratis hors d'oeurves [provided by the DCBTCI Chapter] at Freddie's on Crystal City's 23rd Street. Beginning at 6:00 p.m. ish come join your fellow chapter members and enjoy a libation or two - interested not-yet-members are more than welcome to join in the fun and discover the virtues of the Black Tie Club International! Later stay for dinner at Freddie's or walk down the street to that wonderful Italian restaurant Federico's - recalling menus and ethos of Italian restaurants of Pisa and Florence. See you then!!

Second Thursday is coming up this week!!! We gather at Freddie's around 6:00 p.m. for cocktails and complementary hors d'oeurves....then some of us will walk down the street to Federico's for dinner around 7:30 p.m. and some of us will stay at Freddie's for dinner. So wear your mask and social distance before you arrive at Freddie's even if you have completed your vaccination regimen.....See you Thursday!!!!

December 10th - the 2nd Thursday of the month - is the time for Black Tie Club's informal cocktail gathering in Crystal City - at Freddie's Beach Bar and Restaurant's Front Porch! We begin around 6:00 p.m. with Happy Hour Cocktail prices, have a couple of rounds and catch up on the latest happenings with Club Members! As the evening progresses, Members either dine at Freddie's or down the street at Federico's featuring superb Italian Cuisine. So come join in the fun - we wear masks and practice social distancing and some of us even wear chapeaus and gloves!

Thursday October 8th at 6:00 p.m. we gather at the Back Porch of Freddie's Beach bar and Restaurant for socially distanced cocktails ....then after a couple of cocktails we can adjourn to Federico's for some of the best Italian cuisine this side of Naples .... or stay at Freddie's for great sandwiches and hamburgers! With a sunny forecast and 70F weather - a perfect time to revisit friends and even meet a new one or two

Our second Thursday of the month cocktail 'hour' will begin again on Thursday, September 12th. For those who may be interested in joining in the fun, we will gather on Freddie's Beach Bar and Restaurant's Back Patio after 6:00 p.m. The Back Patio is completely outdoors and social distancing is still encouraged and, of course, if it rains our gathering will be postponed.
