It's been a month since the fire at Tomasita's Albuquerque, and we've been working hard to get our doors open again. Thankfully, everyone was safe. For that, we couldn't be more grateful.

We're thankful for our team, the first responders, and everyone who has reached out and supported us along the way.

We're getting closer, Albuquerque. Thank you for your patience and continued support. We can't wait to welcome you back! ❤️

Not much longer, Albuquerque! 🥳 We’re putting the finishing touches on everything and getting ready to welcome you back. Tomasita’s Albuquerque officially reopens Monday, November 9! We can’t wait to see you!

On September 30th, a fire at Tomasita’s Albuquerque forced us to temporarily close our doors. Thankfully, no one was harmed, but the past month has brought unexpected challenges for our entire Tomasita’s family. ❤️

Through it all, our team has shown us what it truly means to stick together.

The familiar faces that make Tomasita’s what it is have continued showing up for one another. From making tamales together to preparing for the holiday season, our team has remained united, and we couldn't be more grateful for their loyalty, patience, and dedication throughout this time.

We're getting closer to welcoming Albuquerque back, and we can't wait to have our Tomasita's family together again.

A message from George ❤️

The support our Tomasita’s family has received over the past week has meant more to us than I can put into words. To our guests, our team, first responders, and everyone who has reached out — thank you.

We’re making progress every day in Albuquerque. Our team is working through the repairs and taking things one step at a time to make sure everything is ready for the day we can safely open our doors again. There’s still work ahead of us, but we’re moving in the right direction.

We’ll continue to keep you updated as the work moves forward. We’re looking forward to the day we can welcome you back. Until then, thank you for your patience, encouragement, and for being there for us.

A story that came full circle.

Tomasita’s Albuquerque opened its doors in 2017, but our connection to this city goes back generations. With family restaurant roots near Central & Atrisco dating back to the 1940s, coming to Albuquerque was more than opening another location—it was a return to where part of our family’s story began.

Last night, our Albuquerque location experienced a fire. We’re incredibly grateful that everyone is safe, and deeply thankful for the Albuquerque Fire Department for their quick response and care.

This place means so much to our family, our team, and our community. Thank you so much for all of the support, love, and kind messages. We’ll be back. ❤️

Tonight at approximately 8 p.m., a fire broke out on the roof of Tomasita’s Albuquerque. Our team acted quickly and safely evacuated all guests.

The Albuquerque Police and Fire Departments arrived promptly, and the fire was quickly extinguished. We are deeply grateful to our team and first responders for their swift actions.

We are working with fire department investigators and will keep our loyal customers updated as more information becomes available. We will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, October 1st.
