The Albany Distilling Company Bar & Bottle Shop allows customers to have a relaxing experience with a full bar, outdoor seating, and a small shop featuring ADCo products and other regional fare. True to Albany fashion, the building has a long and varied history which begins in 1844; in its nearly two centuries of use, it has served as a residence, horse stable, and Nabisco factory.

Introducing our 10 Year Rye, crafted from 100% New York grain and aged in locally made barrels.
Deep amber in color with notes of cherry, cinnamon, spearmint, and honey.

To celebrate fifteen years of Albany Distilling, Luc our master distiller hand selected a truly special anniversary barrel. Aged for a decade and crafted entirely from 100% New York State ingredients.

Every element is local: the grain, the barrel, and the water.

Albany History: The Capitol Fire of 1911 🚒🚨

“The fire began on the evening of March 29, 1911, in the Assembly Library, located on the third floor of the building. It quickly spread throughout the the interior and damaged the exterior.

The cause of the fire was never definitively determined, but it was believed to have been caused by faulty wiring or an overheated chimney. The firefighters arrived quickly, but the fire had already spread too far and too fast for them to contain it.

Many valuable historical artifacts, documents, and works of art were lost in the fire, and the cost of rebuilding the Capitol was estimated at over $10 million. The rebuilding process took several years and involved the restoration of many of the building’s original features.”
