Syracuse Area Retirees Local 913, which includes retirees from Cayuga, Onondaga and Oswego counties, recently held its annual Spring Membership Meeting at Drumlins in Syracuse. Members in attendance heard from guest speakers representing the Office of the Comptroller, Political Action, and the CSEA Retiree Division. The presentations provided valuable updates and information relevant to the membership.

Florida State North Local 952 and the local’s Unit 1 held an executive committee meeting on April 13 in The Villages. Attendees included Local 952 President Kathryn Albowicz, Katherine Moran, Delores Walker, Irene Kobbe, David Soule, Unit 1 members Michelle Gaiser and Vito Raguseo, and guests CSEA Retiree Program Specialist Heather McGee, Frank Frear and Carrie Raguseo. In addition to discussing union business, attendees honored Vito Raguseo, who is retiring from his board position. Local and unit thanked Vito for his years of service, and gave Vito praise, a card and gift.

On Thursday April 9, Rochester Area Retirees Local 912 activists met at CSEA’s Rochester Satellite Office to address and send out approximately 750 postcards to members in support of state Comptroller Tom DiNapoli for upcoming Primary Election. BUILDING CONNECTIONS, GROWING MOMENTUM IN FLORIDA
Nearly 50 retirees came together in Florida for our Local 951 Florida Retiree Membership Meeting, with members traveling from across the state, including one couple who drove four hours to be part of the day. The strong turnout, thoughtful questions, and shared commitment in the room made one thing clear: CSEA retirees want to stay connected, informed, and involved. From retirement and health benefits to political action and member resources, the meeting created meaningful opportunities to build relationships, strengthen our Florida retiree network, and grow momentum for future gatherings.
