As you may have heard on The Round Table this morning, we have some exciting news. We are launching an incredible new initiative at WAMC called WAMC On The Road, where we’ll be taking our programming, our energy and our microphones directly into the communities we serve. We’ll be broadcasting, recording and engaging in face-to-face conversations and experiences - capturing art, music and cultural experiences from Plattsburgh to Pittsfield to Poughkeepsie.

As part of this transition, some bittersweet news: we’re not holding public events at The Linda after June 2025. We are so incredibly proud of this place we’ve built, the work we’ve done, the moments we’ve created, and times we’ve shared at The Linda. At the same time, we look forward to meeting and connecting many more of you with all the new moments and experiences we’ll create together with On The Road.

If you’d like to raise a glass to The Linda in person, consider joining us for some of the evenings of great music and culture we have on the schedule in the next few months. Our last Wednesday Night Swing Dance will be on May 28. We’ll be broadcasting Hudson River Sampler and the Phil Ochs Song Night live on Saturday, May 24. On Friday, June 13 we’ll play host to Girl Love’s Album Release and Pride Celebration featuring Sawyer Fredericks. I hope we will see you there.

In closing, thank you for all the memories, the support and the music. We hope to see you On The Road.
