It's 10 days away ... the next Alameda Dance Jam wants your toes in the sand August 15th 6-9p at Crown Memorial Beach, because you make us feel dancing. And because this is how we do it, we enter the lot at Otis Dr and Westline Dr and we walk this way on the path towards the direction of Crab Cove, stopping behind the Beach Park Restroom building to join the dance. Be there and and be prepared to line dance, make new friends, and dance dance dance all night long, or at least till 9 or so. ... We know you can't control yourself any longer... Don't you worry if you can't dance. Let the music move your feet. It's the rhythm of the island. And like sugarcane, so sweet.

July 18th is the next dance, the fourth Alameda Dance Jam of 2026, starting a bit earlier (6:30) at the same location again like June for ongoing safety concerns … will be at Crown Beach near restroom structure known as the bathhouse on park maps — enter large lot at Otis Dr and Westline Dr. (lot entrance closes 7pm.)

Prepare to shake it from your toes to your dome to the jams of DJ Meglennial and DJ Jemini. So RSVP to lock in.The last month dance jam in June kept the groove going for positive energy, turning out around 75 despite the cold and the concerns about others doing beach takeovers … we had awesome people of all ages and colors. So things are looking up for this free, positive, peaceful, informal, community of music and dance loving spirits

So for this next dance in July, grab a hoodie or a blanket just in case, and grab a friend too and head down to Otis Dr and Westline Dr. at 6:30pm on July 18th to dance together with co-hosts Deirdre, Angie, Noel and DJ Meglennial (second DJ TBD), with Bluetooth speakers provided by MAKEBOOMBOXES.com.

The dance is on the beach behind the bathhouse at Crown Beach, Alameda. We are trying to dance at sunset by starting around 6:30 and wrap about 9:30 (cause it can get mad cold after sunset). We may go longer if weather permits. Family friendly.

Alameda and East Bay friends… the June 26th Dance Jam has NEW LOCATION for SAFETY: Crowne Beach near the restroom structure… enter at Otis Dr and Westline Dr.

In light of recent beach takeovers at the end of Park St, we co-hosts have consulted together and with various community folks and agree relocating West to the more secluded end of the beach will be much less chance of overlapping with bad vibes or safety risk.
