Get to Know This Fool: Darren
Darren has been apart of this bar for more than 10 years, but to him, it’s always been much more than just a job. He’s watched this place grow, change, and weather the ups and downs of two different ownership groups. Through it all, one thing has stayed the same: his commitment to the people who walk through the doors.
He doesn’t just know the regulars by face. He knows their names, what they drink, where they usually sit, and what’s going on in their lives. Over the years, many of those customers have become close friends, and some he considers family.
There isn’t anyone who understands this business better than Darren. He hears every compliment, every complaint, every suggestion, and every “if this place just did…” conversation. He knows what works, what doesn’t, and where the opportunities are to grow revenue while creating an even better experience for customers.
After helping build someone else’s dream for over a decade, he’s ready to build his own. He doesn’t want to work for a third owner. He wants to become the owner this bar deserves.
Outside of work, Darren is an amazing dad who loves breakfast and lunch dates with his daughter. When he’s able to relax, you’ll usually find him getting his nerd on in a game of Dungeons & Dragons, getting lost in a sci-fi or fantasy movie, camping, traveling, or making memories at concerts and music festivals.
His vision for this bar isn’t based on guesswork. It’s built on more than a decade of experience, countless relationships, and a genuine love for the place he’s proud to call home.
