🏆🍺 MARKET GARDEN’S PROSPERITY WHEAT NAMED BEST OF SHOW AT CLEVELAND OKTOBERFEST

If you’re headed to Cleveland Oktoberfest this weekend, the judges have officially given you a drinking list.

Market Garden Brewery’s Prosperity Wheat took Best of Show Friday night at the 2026 Cleveland Oktoberfest Microbrew Competition, topping the field after also winning Gold in German Wheat and being named Best of German.

According to Marc Bona of Cleveland.com, Prosperity Wheat had earned bronze in German Wheat each of the past two years, but had never taken the competition’s top honor.

Market Garden brewer and co-owner Andy Tveekrem told Bona that he believes this is the brewery’s first Best of Show at Oktoberfest.

And Market Garden wasn’t alone in having a big night.

🍺 Masthead Brewing Co. went two-for-two with Gold for Augenblick Helles and Schwarzbier.

🍺 Fat Head's Brewery collected three medals, including Gold for Head Hunter, which was also named Best of the Rest.

🍺 Boss Dog Brewing also collected three medals, while Broadview Brewing Company’s Last Train repeated as Gold medalist in German Ale.

The Cleveland Beer Week style series of beerfests continues with Lager Fest, returning to Akronym Brewing on Sunday, August 2, from Noon to 4PM. More than 20 Ohio craft breweries will take over Akronym Brewing’s outdoor Biergarten, each pouring what they believe is their best lager.
