Community 5k Run/Walk Brew fest raising funds for St Francis Xavier School - Acushnet

St. Francis Xavier School in Acushnet has a new turf field, thanks to a big community effort. Local businesses, contractors and families contributed more than $150,000 in services, materials and labor, with nearly $200,000 raised for the project. The field gives students a safer place to play, and the school hopes local youth sports teams can use it in the future. What’s your favorite example of the SouthCoast coming together for kids?
