Danny's Wine and Spirits is now stocking a great selection of our wines from Spain and Italy.

For a great Cava choose the Lanzier Brut which is made in the traditional method.

For white wines there is a great selection starting with the Rialta Blanco from Rioja made with 100% Viura. The Lanzier Albarino from Rias Baixas is a premium example of the varietal at a non-premium price. Finally the Prime Alture Il Bianco from Italy is a refreshingly dry blend of Chardonay and Moscato.

For red wines, the selection is even greater. There are two great Tempranillos. One is Artesones 2012 from Manchuella near Valencia and the other is the Rialta Crianza 2013 from Consejo de la Alta in Rioja. Both are great dinner wines.

One of my favorites is the 2014 Garnacha that just gets better every year. A classic interpretation of the Garnacha varietal.

Finally there are two great reds from Prime Alture, a boutique winery in Pavia Italy just north of Genoa. The 2013 Pinot Noir is the pride of the winery with a silky mouth feel. The 2012 Merlot is another wine that is getting better and better every year. It is what I call a 'WOW' wine! Come taste for yourself!!!

Jasper cooked us a great meal at Summer Shack. The gravlax was a fantastic appetizer. Oxana had the Faroe Islands Salmon and I had the Sword Fish Kabobs. Delicious with a glass of Aires de Guara Chardonnay.
