**Farewell statements**
Yes, you heard right – Bobwundaye is bowing out at the end of October! Over the last 20 years, people have come to Bobs to party with friends or drown their sorrows; many came for the music, and many went from passers-by to regulars. We’ve witnessed love stories and wonderful friendships – as well as our fair share of breakups! We would like to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts – and our livers - for the countless nights you kept us company.
We’d also like to shamelessly brag that our Wednesday jam night and weekend gigs have become legendary in this city. This legend was created by fantastically talented musicians from every corner of the world, and I’m sure that some of you talented youngsters will take up the baton and create new stories after Bobwundaye has passed into history.
Lastly, I would like to thank our employees and friends that have lent their support (there are too many of you to mention, so I’ll avoid listing names rather than run the risk of missing anyone out - you know who you are). They kept calm on even the craziest of nights and found novel ways to solve the strangest problems - they are Bobwundaye’s greatest asset and we are immensely proud of them all.
We have arranged gigs from some of our favourite bands for each Saturday in October so we can say a musical farewell to you all. But there’s no need to say goodbye - even after the building is knocked down, I know that Bobs will always have a place in your hearts! October Band Schedule:
7 October - Double Triple + Murder Hornets + Fuzzy Wall
14 October - Muddy Basin Ramblers
21 October - Lanny & the Flying Lava Lamps with Special Guests Last day of business: 28 October - The Infrasounds
It seems like almost everyone has a Bobwundaye story to share and you’re welcome to share yours here in the comments!
