New life starts to happen in March and nymphs start to become active. It’s always worth having some buzzers in your fly box because this is another main source of the trout diet

As a cold water species, rainbow trout continue to be active right through the shortest, coldest days of the year. Considering the water is cold and clear during the winter, the first fly choice is the dark, fast-sinking one which can be absolute killer for trout!
