Reservations are available, but to maintain service quality and dining atmosphere, we limit groups to a max ChangeX Beer 是臺中最早開始推廣精釀啤酒的店家，一店在教育大學英才校區後方，擁有在地品牌”妖怪釀造“，南園酒家，我們臺中第二家店，身為臺中囡仔，2018年動心起念回歸老城區，租下那時還是廢墟般的南園，開始了三年的漫長整修，在文化部「私有老建築保存再生案」補助下，將遮住的屋頂掀開、消失的迴廊和天井蓋回來，這期間，我們和“中城再生文化協會“合作在每年10月下旬，舉辦”大墩鈴蘭通啤酒節“，至今年10月南園試營運時，已舉辦三屆。
老屋座落於曾經繁華無比的臺中舊城，現民族路、繼光街轉角，建於1915年，百年前是臺中唯一的和風西洋料理—“精養軒”，二戰前後變為“臺灣拓殖株式會社 臺中出張所”，戰後，原址被日治時期經營和洋雜貨有成的“柯廣川”家族取得，出租給卓姓商人經營，期間經歷過國民政府來臺初期的“公共食堂”時期，於1962年前後，改名為“南園大酒家”，在6-70年代，和醉月樓、鳳麟酒家、松鶴樓並稱中城四大酒家，直至1980年初。老屋騎樓雙圓柱加拱撐造型在當時頗罕見，原始屋架兩翼（民族路、繼光街）各有四座，現兩翼最邊皆已改建，目前僅餘各三拱柱。
ChangeX Beer, the oldest store to educate and promote craft beer culture in Taichung, has its own local brand, Monster Brewing/妖怪釀造. In 2018, as a native Taichungese, we come back own town Taichung, an area we played through the childhood, and eventually find this century old house, South Garden restaurant/南園酒家. We renew the roof, re-build the missing cloister and patio, and finally open it in October, 2021. During the period, we also cooperate with DRA Goodot Village to hold the “Taichung Beer Festival” annually since 2019. and Jiguang St., is build in 1915 with a very unique doubel-cylinder arch bracing. The remaining house is smaller than the original one because part of the building at the two-wing has been cut off sometime after 1980. Originally, it’s the only western cuisine restaurant, Ji Yang Xuan/精養軒, in Taiwan, and become the Taiwan Development Co., Ltd. After World War II, it’s purchased by a very successful grocery store, “Ke Guang Chuan/柯廣川”, and rent to Mrs. Zhuo(卓), who open the South Garden restaurant, one of the most famous Taiwanese dish restaurant with waitress serving drinks in 1962, and closed early in 1980s.
