A shopping day with Miss M

I was up a little earlier and we had a car from Tiauna. We shopped around in a nice genteel manner, taking our time. We actually managed to get every single thing on both our lists, amazing.
I have soil to repot Amanda the youngest avocado tree and yesterday I made guacamome with the first if Alfreds avocadoes. Alfie, son of Alfred, is now bearing avocado so I will have to try one of his.
The wearher was sunny on the whole but quite a large dark cloud in town which finally broke as we were on our way home. All rainwater is gratefull accepted and I am praying for a lot more.
Bridgerton is on the photo living his best life and I did remember the cat chow so have not been scratched to death.
Amy and Keishon have wheels again and last night they went on a walk and popped in with a slice of her birthday cake, delicious. You will all be able to try Keishons cakes once they start their business. Now there is something to look forward to.
I intend to vegetate on the.sofa.for the evening with ny Korean friends, now.watching The early spring.

Calendar synching, ? Easy!

I spent the morning with my puzzles and some washing with a good chat with Chicken Ally. I attempted to add bookings to my new app but was a bit flustered until I realised it was mm/dd/yyy and I was doing the day first. Then it all went very smoothly and... drumroll please... I synched the urls (no not a spelling mistake mum, a url is the starg if an address on the internet) between Lavender room on the app and airbnb.
So feeling pretty good for a dinosaur and then I got into our website and have passed the info onto Rory. I also added new bathroom photos for yellow and peach. The peach net is soaking and looking white and clean so blue will be next.
Hopefully Rory will add the new photo tour onto the website and change the email to mine so I receive bookings for both rooms and restaurant.

A funny old day

The weather threatened thunder and heavy rain but all we had was a small drizzle. It was a bit sunnier than yesterday though. We made 2 pizzas today and some locals came down for a party lime for a couple of birthdays.
They are still partying but it is a reasonable noise level. Spooky in love is getting very intense and I am ready for a relaxing evening.
Amy has done the flyer at the bottom and this is what we are cooking on friday. I always loved helping Debbie at Cascreole on fridays and I am going to make curry chicken along with curry pumpkin, channa and potatoes, possibly even some mango. We will see how it sells but i love it anyway😎🌴.

Lunch and footy

I did not chat to Mum and Dad this morning as they were waiting for their friend Chris who was coming up to visit and they were waiting for her phone call. So they will be busy showing her the sights of Newmarket and surrounding areas.
I puzzled and made my smoked tuna dip, or should I say Maz' dip, and then dressed for lunch. I popped in to see Miss Maudlyn and then picked Amy up. We parked by Max and walked over to find the steps to Seasteps. We had a lovely lunch with Val and were there over 4 hours. We chatted and the time flew.
Thunderstorms were predicted but did not happen although the sun tried in the afternoon it did not really break through. Below is my ginger and lemon tea with a male narijuana leaf and a thyme leaf. Very refreshing and not at all hallucinatory. The cake was Amy's birthday cake that Keishon made, I am hoping I get a slice, hint hint.
This evening was the finals of the Castara yardstyle football with the 3rd/4th playoff first which was Iraq 2 Rude boys 1.
Then came the final which was Fearless v Youth rebirth. It was a great game that went to 1-1 then 2-2 and was won by Fearless in the dying minutes. So Moriah win again. The last yardstyle was 10 years ago and the village council had a lot to do with the organisation of this years. I hope it continues every year. First prize was $12,000tt. The medal table was quite full.

Computing

I had a meeting with Rory yesterday abd he had an app which I am trialling. It looks very good and had all my bookings for the rooms in one place. We spent 3 hours going through it and he also helped me add new photos to airbnb. Next job will be to update the website.
I spent the afternoon sewing curtains and chatting to Maryann. I made a bowl of ramen noodles for tea with thai red sauce and shrimp, I love that. However hot noodles immediately sent me to sleep and so my post did not get written. I did eat late too.
The Castara football fireld has been spruced up with a grass cut and new lines ready for the finals tonight. I shall be going with my chair for an eveni g of sport and entertainment. Fkrst prize is $12,000 tt I believe.
Next fridal will be buss up day in Little Bay, exciting stuff.

Thunder, Tabu and Thai

This morning was bad weather with a very broody sky and then a lot of rain. The animals did not like the thunder at all and were either right next to me or under a bed. It did clear up in time for me to force the truck up the hill, pick up Amy and meet Tabu over the bay. We attended the meeting for the open day in Castara on 12th November. Last year was good and a lot of fun.
Once that was organised ready for the next steps Tabu and I drove home and began our day. We had a cup of tea and made some good old english chips with cheese on top. Next we watched a movie called In the shadow of the moon. It was good and then we made thai red curry shrimp and that was delicious
It is so nice to have some company and we talked about everything.
We watched some videos of the formation of the continents starting 450 million years ago showing how the tectonic plates have formed our world today. Humans really have not been on this planet for very long and what a mess we have made of it in a short time.
Orlando came down this evening and suggested we make roti or bussup one day next week. What a great idea!
So once we have decided what day we will advertise it and maybe make doubles the following week. Bring it on!

Shopping and a head rub

I was up and ready for mum and dad this morning and we had a long chat with Ali popping in and out. All is good on the Newmarket front and then I got ready for town. It rained somewhat so I waited for the sun to dry the road as it is exceedingly difficult to get the truck up the hill especially on the bend with a wet road. It thundered and lightninged last night but very little rain.
So I collected Miss M's list and off I went. I picked up Calvin and he came to Scarborough with me, we had a lovely talk, nice young man.
In all I made 10 stops although Boodoos electrical was a washout as they had no current and would not let me in. I went to Kelec instead so I have my 3 x 6 inch box for the double english plug and it has a usb and a c charger on it too.
Sherwin Williams came through nicely with primer and paint for plastic as I am going to paint my freezer plastic white. I made an account as I have a business and got 40%off. Brilliant! Once I reached home I had a chat with Maryann on the sofa and after she went up I fell asleep until nearly 7 for goodness sakes. Shopping really takes it out of me these days😂.
I had only eaten some grapes so I made dinner and created the saltfish omelette. Its probably been done before but I felt marvellous anyway and very delicious.
Below is the Victor Bruce building with all its finery from Independence Day and my clean deck. Bridgerton decided to sit on my chest and stare at me until I gave him a head and face massage. He can be very persuasive sometimes.

Dogs and visitors

A lovely relaxed morning with some sewing and my puzzles. Juma came and swept the deck on our level and I now have one of my planters under the roof. So I shall put some cardboard boxes and old towels in the planter and hope these pesky chickens start laying eggs. I mean, they lay them all over the place.
This afternoon I had a zoom meeting about the stray dogs in the village. It was a positive discussion and we are going to start addressing this issue far more.
Maz arrived around 3pm with her daughter and boyfriend so we had a swim and then Amy and Keishon joined us too. It was really sunny but kind of rained a bit, there should have been a rainbow. Peano and Maryann arrived today and Peano was straight in the sea.
Tomorrow is shopping and my list is long so an early night. The photo was not long before sunset and looks beautiful. The cloud is almost the shape of Trinidad.

Sunsets and saltfish

A very good doing sort of day. I washed and mopped the kitchen floor and also rescued a plastic vegetable trolley thing for putting potatoes etc... in from the laundry room. I washed it and it is in the gap where the cooker was. The new cooker is too big for the gap now.
I made a very delicious saltfish with jasmine rice and a smoked tuna dip for dinner as it was someones birthday today. Now for an evening of desperate housewives And I have my new book to start, the last in the trilogy. It has just started raining but only lightly.
The lavender room windows are clean now too and Orlando is going to paint the ceiling so it is left to me to take the nets down to wash and put back up. I quite enjoy cleaning the fans and I have 2 more rooms to do shlwerheads, taps and kettles. Then the steam cleaning will begin. I am going to take my time and swim every day. Amy sent the sunset some days ago it looks good and my tabke was set for the birthday bot.

Sting rays all over

Pizzas went well and we also made the samosas that we did not have time for o. Thursday. We had some for lunch with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. The sea again was so clear and flat it just looks amazing. The sting rays were out in force and two kept gliding along the shoreline and the bigger one flapped his sides a bit. Very cute.
I had an interview online this morning with a young lady in Germany who is writing a thesis on stray dogs in the caribbean. It was in relation to responsible tourism and I quite enjoyed it.
The internet went down last night and I received an email telling me there was an issue in my area. They were working on it and it returned in about 3 and a half hours so I was still able to do my post.
Desperate housewives is really getting intense and involved, it's great.
