1992’ nin Haziran’ında İstiklal caddesinde Atlas pasajinin girişinde hemen sağa, orada bulunan derme çatma atari salonunun yerine açıldığında Beyoğlu’nda bu tipten bir café-bar pek yoktu. Sefahathane, kurulduğundan beri dünyadaki en iyi müziğin takipçisi, en samimi, coşkulu eğlencenin ve elbette iyi içki içmenin adresi oldu. Müşterilerinin çoktan sahiplendiği, şehrin oturmuş kültürü

içinde her zaman başlarda yeralan Sefahathane, bir café-bar olmaktan çok şehirde bir yaşam yeri olmayı amaçladı. Bu yüzden açıldığından beri sadece eğlenceye değil sanatsal hareketlere de açık oldu. Önündeki pasaj - avlusunda dans gösterileri, canlı müzikler, duvarlarında çeşitli ressamların sergileri hep yeraldı. Yüzlerce insanın yaşayan dostluklar edindiği, bu Beyoğlu’nun ve elbette İstanbul’un ‘en bar’ı bugün de ilk günkü gibi genç ama oturaklı haliyle eğlenceye devam ediyor.
