Here are a few photos of our visit to the Foundation. The founder gave us a brief history of the place. The land and building were donated by the temple. They care for 35 patients some with TB with the intention of nursing them back to a level of health where they can return home. All the staff are volunteers, no paid staff or directors. The biggest monthly expenditure is electricity, water and fuel for the motor vehicle. The vehicle is essential to take the patients to the hospital to see the doctor. Food is donated by the local market. The Foundation supply three meals a day and pot noodle snacks.
The director told us they were down to the last 3000 baht in the bank so the donation of 71,000 baht was very timely. This would cover the essential power water and fuel for a few months.
We were told by the patients that they needed more fans and that the TVs were broken and need replacing. If any one would like to make such donation they would be gratefully received.
