Thailand’s visa rules change TODAY! Make sure your travel plan still legal.
Starting 15 September, Thailand cuts its standard visa-free stay for eligible tourists from 60 days to 30 days per entry.
Key changes:
• Visa-free stay: 60 days → 30 days for citizen of 60 countries
• Most visa-exempt travellers: maximum 2 land-border entries per calendar year
• Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and Singapore are exempt from the land-entry cap
• Air arrivals are not subject to the two-entry land cap, but repeated visa runs may still face immigration scrutiny
• Already in Thailand? Your existing permission to stay remains valid until the date stamped in your passport
• TDAC is still required for every entry, including by land
The new rules apply according to the date of entry, not when flights or accommodation were booked.
