It is a wrap! And as we move forward with our next adventure, we’d like to thank our friends, family, and everyone who came to support throughout our final month. We are forever grateful and hoping one day our paths will cross again.

Before we leave this space we loved, EVERYTHING MUST GO, come by this weekend to shop our collections of kitchen tools, plates, utensils, glasses, tshirts, wine & etc!

We’ll also be selling wine by the glass if you just want to hang out.

Dear friends,

This week we say goodbye to SAAM, the place that we and many lives have called home for the past couple of years. SAAM was built through the help of many efforts of our team, as a community, as a family. The menu has always been a collaborative effort of many people, each brining their own perspectives, flavors and memories.

To celebrate the last week of operation, we invite you to come and experience the menu with dishes that they either have helped created or bonded with since started working here. All of them shared a story or two, and all of them have helped built the voice of SAAM.

We hope to be able to welcome you in for one last time and share this last bit of memory together. Our last day of operation is this Sunday 1 March.

Thank you so much again for your continuous support and love throughout our time here.

As we enter our second last week, we’re turning the spotlight to the heart of our kitchen — and the beginning of this journey.

Three years ago, Chef Sareen shook hands with Narisa. What began as a collaboration transformed Proper from a cocktail bar into a wine bar, and eventually grew into SAAM as it is today.

This week (Feb 18-22) features Chef Sareen’s Picks — a set menu made up of his all-time favorites. Dishes he returns to, believes in, and stands behind fully. Plates that define his palate, his technique, and the way he has shaped SAAM from day one.

As Head Chef, Sareen is the mastermind behind every dish — building the foundation, balancing flavors, and leading the kitchen with quiet precision.

It’s a relief to know that even after SAAM comes to an end, we can still continue to enjoy his food at an intimate Small Dinner Club in Charoen Krung. .bkk

This is SAAM at its core.

We wanted our last chapter to reflect the people who built this place from the inside.

For our final three weeks, we will be rotating 3 different set menus per week — each curated by a different voice behind SAAM: Nari (co-founder), Sareen (Head Chef), and the SAAM kitchen & service team.

Kicking off 11–15 Feb with Nari’s Favorites.

Six years ago, Narisa opened Chand and later Proper in this very building — the space that would eventually become SAAM.

While the mastermind behind the food has always been Chef Sareen — leading the kitchen and translating ideas into the balanced, thoughtful plates you experience — Nari has been a constant force behind the scenes. She has played a strong support role from day one: idea-ing, tasting, testing, questioning, refining — and also shaping many of our online stories and posts.

Every dish that leaves the kitchen has passed her table first. If it’s on the menu, it’s Nari-approved.

This week’s menu highlights her personal favorites:
Fresh oysters, Yellowtail crudo, and Rigatoni tom kha.

Next week will be Chef Sareen’s.

Dear friends of SAAM and our SAAM family,

It is with both a heavy heart and a warm sense of accomplishment, we would like to announce the closure of SAAM on this coming March 1st. It has not been an easy decision to make and it is not due to any one specific factor. The timing leads us to this path and it is time to finally move on.

In the 6 years since Narisa opened her candle store (Chand) and a cocktail bar (Proper) in this building, which now house SAAM. We have experienced the greatest love and support from our friends, neighbors, suppliers, media and of course our beloved guests, whom many grown into beautiful friendships. We have transformed and did many trials to see how far we can take the space to and we could have never imagined how great it could become, for that we are truly grateful.

This decision was not made lightly, and it is not the end. It merely signifies the opening of a new chapter. Chef Sareen will still be operating .bkk as usual and who knows what future projects might grow out of the closure of one.

Though emotional, we are excited to welcome you during this final month. While we remain dedicated to never stop evolving, learning, and providing you with the best experience we can offer.

We still have plenty of nights to go and we have opened up the bookings for you to be able to get your last (or more) reservations for the last good bye!

Thank you again for your incredible support over the years. We look forward to seeing you in the next coming weeks!
