Opening The Blunt Bartender was the realization of a dream I’d worked toward for decades. After years of being a waitress, bartender, and manager, I finally had the chance to create a space of my own—a place where people could come together, unwind, and feel like family. I was so passionate about making it a welcoming environment for everyone, where every guest would feel at home.
But just six months after opening, the world changed in a way none of us could have predicted. The pandemic hit, and suddenly everything was uncertain. I poured myself into the work, sacrificing long hours—sometimes 16-hour days—missing precious time with my loved ones, trying to keep everything afloat and do right by the community we built. Despite my best efforts, the impact of social media and a one-sided narrative took its toll, and my dream was crushed under the weight of a situation I couldn’t control.
It’s with an incredibly heavy heart that I must announce The Blunt Bartender is no longer.
I can’t begin to express the gratitude I feel for my loyal patrons, my amazing friends, and the incredible staff who supported me through the highs and lows. Each of you helped keep the spirit of the pub alive during some of the hardest moments. But my deepest sorrow is in saying goodbye to my dedicated team. The bond we shared was truly special, and you were more than just employees—you were my family. This is the hardest part of all, and it breaks me to know that I can no longer provide for you in the way you deserve.
I’ve given everything I had to make this work, but at this point, the weight is simply too much. I can’t continue to carry on this dream, no matter how hard I try.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has supported me, whether you were a patron, a friend, or part of my amazing staff. You made it worth every moment, and while this chapter is closing, I will always cherish the memories we made together.
Thank you for believing in me and The Blunt Bartender.
