Thank you for joining “Flavors of Rock” 🪨🔥
When people think of rock tea, it often comes down to 3 familiar names of Dahongpao, Rougui, and Shuixian. But in reality, there are many more teas growing within the Wuyishan waiting to be discovered.
In the past, Wuyishan was filled with a wide diversity of tea plants, shaped by natural crossbreeding and generations of propagation. Those with distinctive characteristics were named and became mother plants, later cultivated and passed down over time.
As time went on, new cultivars from outside Wuyishan were also introduced, reflecting changing tastes and preferences across different eras.
In this session, we’ve selected some of lesser-known cultivars to present, offering a different perspective on rock tea. From herbal nuances to more unexpected aromatic profiles, each tea reveals another dimension beyond the classics.
We hope this experience brings you closer to the diversity and depth of rock tea. ❤️
