Roger travelled widely over the years to Japan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, India, Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia, in order to observe the different salons concepts in those countries. Roger also travelled extensively in Japan to learn more about the Japanese culture and customer service practices. Japanese customer service seeks to ensure customer satisfaction. While travelling, Roger met his girlfriend who was as well in the beauty salon business in Penang. They eventually married and return to Singapore as both of them are Singaporeans. His wife handover the business to her sister in Penang. After 10 years of marriage with two young kids, Roger and his wife decided to a set up a hair salon business located at Block 1A Eunos Cresent, #01-2475 Singapore 401001 which was just a stone throw away from their residence. The hair salon design combines British style and Japanese conceptualization, thus the name KIREI HAIR SALON. In Japanese terminology KIREI means Beautiful.
